Above are some of the banners displayed by cricket fans in stadiums across the globe. In stadiums, fans come out and use the banners as a way to display their emotions. Sometimes, they praise one of their favorite players, while at other times they may criticise a team. In special matches, where some player is about to retire, many fans have banners thanking that player. Some group of fans have gained recognition the world over for sticking by their teams through thick and thin. The Barmy Army is one such illustration, where the England cricket fans go around the world, especially Australia, to cheer their team through thick and thin, often coming up with humorous songs and the like.
