Match 40 of ongoing VIVO IPL 2018 saw Rajasthan Royals (RR) level scores with Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) courtesy a 15-run victory at Jaipur. Defending 159, RR couldn’t prevent Rahul from another fifty — and helping him to the Orange Cap — but got rid of other batsmen to increase his workload. RR reached 158 for 8, courtesy Jos Buttler’s 82, but the credit for victory goes to a collective bowling effort from their camp.

Rahul has now scored the fastest and joint slowest 50 of this season. He adapted to the situation well but could not take his team home with changing partners.
