The Indian team practiced hard ahead of their ICC World T20 2014 semi-final against South Africa. The Indian players trained in Dhaka Academy at the Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium on April 1 and April 2. India’s semi-final clash with South Africa is on April 4. India topped Group 2 to qualify for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. They beat Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh and Australia. South Africa finished second in Group 1. They lost to Sri Lanka, but beat New Zealand, the Netherlands and England.
MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuvraj Singh and co. played a game of football on April 1. This is a game which the Indian team usually plays during pre-match practice. Dhoni is supposedly the best at this. On April 2, it was back to cricket as the net sessions were on. Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Kohli and Dhoni practiced their batting. Ashwin focused on his bowling.
