Kolkata Knight Riders faced the Mumbai Indians in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 match at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. Funnily, this was Kolkata’s home game having played a designated away game at this venue against the Kings XI Punjab. On a slow wicket, Gautam Gambhir won the toss and chose to bowl first. His bowlers did a splendid job as they gave the Mumbai batsmen no chance of putting up a big score. In the end, they managed only 141, with Rohit Sharma scoring a half-century. In reply, Kolkata were led in the run-chase by Robin Uthappa, who hit a 52-ball 80. That helped Kolkata complete another successful run-chase as they won the game by six wickets.
