Ishant Sharma was in brilliant form at Lord’s during Day Five of the second Test between India and England. His remarkable spell of seven for 74 helped India beat England at Lord’s by 95 runs. In doing so, India recorded its first win at Lord’s after 28 years. Ishant’s spell was certainly the difference between the two sides. On Day Four, he had dismissed Ian Bell and Alastair Cook, the two senior men in the England line-up. But, on Day Five, he was devastating. All the wickets he took were off short balls. He took five off the six wickets to fall on Day Five, the other wicket going to a run-out. Ishant has now enhanced his reputation with this spell and he has been lauded by most people for his heroics.
