Pakistan beat Ireland In ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in a must win match for both teams at Adelaide and make it through to the quarter final stage, where they will meet Australia at the same venue. Ahmed Shehzad scored his maiden One-Day International (ODI) ton, which ensures that Pakistan got there with no major worries. He was well supported by Ahmed Shehzad at the other end, who himself scored a vital half-century and the duo put on 120 for the first wicket.

Earlier, Ireland captain William Porterfield scored his seventh ODI century of 124 deliveries, which got Ireland to a respectable total of 237 in their 50 overs. He unfortunately got out at the wrong time and Ireland could not manage a score close to 300, which would have put Pakistan under serious pressure when they came out to bat. This after Ireland had won the toss and elected to bat first.

Wahab Riaz starred once again for Pakistan picking up three for 54 in his 10 overs. Ehsan Adil, who came into this game instead of Mohammd Irfan had an impressive day as well.
