Lord’s is one of the most revered venues in World Cricket. The first Test match at the Lord’s cricket ground was held in 1814, and the venue is referred to as the ‘Home of Cricket’.


The tradition of ringing the bell before the start of a Test match was started by MCC Chief Executive Keith Bradshaw in 2007. Legends like Sanath Jayasuriya, Steve Waugh, Rahul Dravid and Shane Warne. The bell is just one of the things associated with the ground, along with the Lord’s Honours Board. Currently (on July 21), India is playing England in the second Test of a five match Test series.
