West Indies defeated Bangladesh by 91 runs in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) to complete a 3-0 whitewash over Bangladesh. The hosts outclassed Bangladesh in all departments and comfotably clinmched all the three matches. In the third encounter, Denesh Ramdin produced yet another brilliant display of batting to hammer 169 — the third highest score by a West Indian in ODIs.
West Indies posted a mammoth total of 338 thanks to centuries from Ramdin and skipper Dwayne Bravo (124). Needing a monumental effort to even be competitive after their capitulation for just 70 in the second one-dayer in Grenada three days earlier, Bangladesh were boosted by a 99-run third-wicket stand between Tamim Iqbal (55) and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim but were never really in the hunt and could only manage 247 for eight in reply.
