Earlier, an explosive assault by Darren Sammy and skipper Dwayne Bravo over the final 10 overs lifted the West Indies to a competitive 269 for six at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Sammy smashed 61 off just 36 deliveries with five fours and four sixes.

Bravo played the captain’s role superbly with an unbeaten 87 before Sunil Narine had England in a spin and capped off a win for the hosts.
