Ben Cutting Biography
Standing at an imposing 6’3”, Ben Cutting is a pace bowler capable of producing uncomfortably steep bounce. Known for his lethally steep lifters that often kick off from a length and big hitting at the death, Cutting has fast risen to one of Queensland’s main players.
He came into contention for the national squad after being the leading wicket-taker in the2009-10 Sheffield Shield. In 2011, he was selected for the Test series against New Zealand, but did not play.
A One-Day International (ODI) call-up by the Australian selectors in early 2013 followed a productive domestic season. However, Cutting played just three matches before being dropped from the side. Cutting was picked up by the Rajasthan Royals prior to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014.
Cutting’s domestic career has been plagued with injuries, and Australia will be hoping for a prolonged spell of fitness that could see Cutting turn up for national duty.
