Kedar Jadhav Biography
Hailing from the batting-rich stables of Mahararashta, Kedar Mahadav Jadhav is a late bloomer, making his first steps in domestic circuit at an age when most fledgling Indians are usually on the cusp of cementing their places in the national team.
Born on March 26, 1985 in Pune, Jadhav made an instant impact after being drafted in the Maharashtra set-up in 2007-08. Since then, there has been no looking back for the assured and the innovative stroke-maker as he has displayed remarkable consistency with the bat. Jadhav seldom fails to impress his state and averages in the 50s. Despite not being in the fray for an international call-up, given the ocean of young batting talent that India possesses, Jadhav has represented India A and is well respected in the cricketing circles.
The pint-sized batsman has taken his time to establish his IPL career as he was bogged down by poor form and lack of opportunities, despite making a mark with a half-century on debut in 2010. In 2012-13 he smashed his first First-Class cricket triple-hundred, and the following season he became the highest run-scorer, scoring 1,269 runs in 12 matches at an average of 79.31 and an astonishing strike-rate of 79.76 with five hundreds.
Delhi Daredevils picked him again following his success. Despite their turbulent season, Jadhav has been one of the brightest spots, playing useful cameos in the middle over, with an excellent strike-rate.
