Kevon Cooper Biography
Standing at an imposing 6’5”, Kevon Cooper is a Twenty20 specialist, having played for T20 leagues in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and India. A medium-pacer who extracts good bounce, Cooper is also destructive with the bat lower down the order.
Cooper made a mark in the Champions League T20 2011 with the champion Trinidad and Tobago side, and was picked by the Rajasthan Royals for the following year’s IPL. After an impressive debut IPL season in 2012, Cooper has been a regular in the Rajasthan Royals side thanks to his excellent batting strike rate and ability to break partnerships at crucial times.
Cooper is a perfect example for the Twenty20 specialist. Such has been his reputation that his appearances have been sporadic even in the fifty-over versions of the sport.
Concerns were raised over Cooper’s bowling action during the Caribbean Twenty20 league of 2010-11, but following remedial action at the University of Perth he was cleared to play.
