Naman Ojha Biography
A swashbuckling batsman and a handy man with the big gloves from Madhya Pradesh, Naman Ojha first made his mark with Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2009. He made a name in that tournament with a 51-ball 68 against Kings XI Punjab. The knock helped a Rajasthan side to post the only 200-plus total in IPL 2009.
He continued to be a regular feature for Rajasthan Royals in 2010, but switched to Delhi Daredevils. Sunrisers Hyderabad bought his services for IPL 2014.
Ojha made his debut for India in an ODI against Zimbabwe in 2010 — predominantly because MS Dhoni was rested for the tour. He also played two T20Is in the following series. His records in First-Class cricket are impressive, but like many other Indian wicketkeepers from the mid-2000s onwards, Ojha has been unfortunate to be a contemporary of Dhoni.
