After locking horns in the Ashes 2013 Test series, England and Australia will look to outsmart each other in the shorter formats of the game. England's ODI form has been good in the recent past as they finished as runners up in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy 2013, whereas, Australia have struggled to cope with a relatively young side led by George Bailey.
The two teams will play two T20s, first in Southampton and the second in Chester-le-Street. The action then shifts to Edinburgh where Australia will face Scotland for a one-off ODI after which the five-match ODI series will get underway. The first ODI is scheduled to played on September 6 at Headingley in Leeds. The tour ends with the fifth and final ODI at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.
