Matt Renshawc Murali Vijay b Ravichandran Ashwin 68 156 10 1 43.59
78.3
R Ashwin to M Renshaw, OUT! Renshaw departs! Nicely floated ball around off, it grips through the surface and has some good bounce on it. Renshaw feels for it and as a result gets a thick outside edge towards second slip where Murali Vijay crouches low and takes it inches above the surface. Very sharp catch and Matt walks back but not before playing a beautiful knock.
David Warnerb Umesh Yadav 38 77 6 0 49.35
27.2
U Yadav to Warner, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Virat Kohli desperately wanted a wicket, brought on Umesh for some resistance and the pacer has delivered for his skipper. It's pace that has got India the breakthrough. Brilliant stuff! Comes steaming in from around the wicket and angles in a fuller length delivery from around off, David Warner comes ahead to play at this but he ends up getting an inside edge. It goes back and crashes into the stumps. We're very close to the lunch break and India have got a big wicket. How ironic, though, Warner was looking very comfortable against spin.
Steven Smith (C)c Virat Kohli b Ravichandran Ashwin 27 95 2 0 28.42
60.1
R Ashwin to Smith, OUT! Straight to Kohli! Ashwin finally gets his first wicket of the match! Comes from over the wicket and floats it up around off, Steven Smith comes dancing down the track and looks to flick it across the line. He does so but fails to keep it down as the ball goes straight to his opposite number Virat Kohli at short mid-wicket. Two set batsmen have been dismissed quickly here.
Shaun Marshc Virat Kohli b Jayant Yadav 16 55 3 0 29.09
46.4
Yadav to Marsh, OUT! Jayant Yadav gets his man! And he's not overstepped this time! Flighted ball around leg, Marsh gets down to sweep but there is not enough space to work with. The ball goes off the pads, then hits the splice of the bat and then lobs up towards Kohli at leg slip who takes a simple catch. He kept himself there a couple of deliveries ago and it has paid off. They all appeal and umpire gives it out. My colleague says, if the umpire is Richard Kettleborough and if he raises his finger, then even the God can't help you. Shaun Marsh trudges back!
Peter Handscomblbw b Ravindra Jadeja 22 45 3 0 48.89
59.2
R Jadeja to Handscomb, OUT! JADEJA STRIKES! It's the arm ball from Jadeja, it's coming in with the angle as Handscomb goes back to play at it. He is beaten for pace and is caught on the pads. There are loud, roaring appeals for the leg before and the umpire raises his finger. Peter contemplates and asks his captain if he should take the review, but much to his dismay, he doesn't get a positive response. He has to make the long walk back now. India with a timely breakthrough.
Mitchell Marshlbw b Ravindra Jadeja 4 18 0 0 22.22
67.4
R Jadeja to Marsh, OUT! Double M, you gotta go! Jadeja and his arm ball! He goes wide of the crease and sends in a flatter delivery around middle and off, Mitchell Marsh goes back to defend but is a bit late to bring his bat down as the ball goes on to rap him on the pads. Jadeja turns back to appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Half the side back in the hut for the Aussies.
Matthew Wade (W)lbw b Umesh Yadav 8 20 1 0 40
75.4
U Yadav to Wade, OUT! The decision stays as it is! Angles it in from outside off, it's on a length as Wade gets across a bit to flick it through the leg side. He completely misses the line and is trapped on the pads. Umesh Yadav turns back and appeals hard for an LBW, umpire Nigel Llong raises his dreaded finger. Wade takes the review and replays indicate it was pitched in line and would have clipped the leg stick. Wade has to walk back, Yadav gets his second scalp.
Mitchell Starcc Ravindra Jadeja b Ravichandran Ashwin 61 63 6 3 96.83
94.5
R Ashwin to Starc, OUT! And it's all over. Floated delivery, outside off, Starc kneels and slog sweeps to go over deep mid-wicket. He gets the connection but the elevation wasn't quite there. Jadeja takes an easy catch. AUSTRALIA ARE ALL OUT FOR 260!
Steve O'Keefec Wriddhiman Saha b Umesh Yadav 0 13 0 0 0
81.4
U Yadav to O'Keefe, OUT! Wriddhi-Man with a Super-Man like dive! What a sensational catch. It makes it even more special given he's a small fella. Pulled off a one-handed stunner. Back of a length delivery outside off, Steve O'Keefe gets an edge as he tries to cut it away. Saha behind the stumps flies full stretch to his right and takes it with his right hand. Was in the air for quite a long time too and with that, he's dismissed Steve.
Nathan Lyonlbw b Umesh Yadav 0 1 0 0 0
81.5
Yadav to Lyon, OUT! TWO IN TWO FOR UMESH YADAV! The review hasn't saved Nathan Lyon here. Angling in sharply on a good length, at 141 kph, Nathan Lyon is caught on the pads as he tries to play at it. The umpire raises his finger to the lbw appeal. Lyon decides to review it and the decision goes upstairs. Replays show that the ball is just clipping the leg stump and so, the decision will stay.

Murali Vijayc Matthew Wade b Josh Hazlewood 10 19 1 0 52.63
6.5
J Hazlewood to Vijay, OUT! HAZLEWOOD STRIKES! Gets a wicket and too in his very first over. Shows just what a disciplined bowler can do. Bowls it marginally ahead of a length, outside off, Murali Vijay has no choice but to play at it as it's too close to him. He edges it and it's taken comfortably by Matthew Wade behind the stumps. Early breakthrough for Australia, just the wicket they wanted.
Lokesh Rahulc David Warner b Steve O'Keefe 64 97 10 1 65.98
32.2
S O'Keefe to Rahul, OUT! What has happened here? Rahul has been caught and is on the ground holding his left shoulder. The physio is out and Rahul seems to be in extreme pain. Coming back to the delivery, it was a floated delivery, around off, Rahul comes down the track wanting to clear the long off fence. But he miscues and the ball goes high up in the air. Warner runs to his left, gets under it and catches it calmly. A loose shot from Rahul and he pays the price for it!
Cheteshwar Pujarac Matthew Wade b Mitchell Starc 6 23 1 0 26.09
14.2
M Starc to Pujara, OUT! Wow what a ball, surprised Pujara. Back of a length delivery, around off, Pujara was neither forward nor back and flirts with it. Ends up gloving it to Wade. A superb delivery from Starc and gets the result for it. The crowd is suddenly buzzing because you know who is going to arrive at the centre!
Virat Kohli (C)c Peter Handscomb b Mitchell Starc 0 2 0 0 0
14.4
M Starc to V Kohli, OUT! Supreme bowling this from Starc. He's dismissed India's captain Kohli for a nought. It is his first duck in India. Fullish delivery, way outside off, Kohli leans forward wanting to drive and edges it to Handscomb at first slip who takes a good low catch. There was no need to play at it as it could have been left alone. India are in a bit of a trouble and the Australians are delighted. Kohli has to wait near the boundary line because Rahane wasn't ready. But the vice captain has arrived and off he goes to the pavilion.
Ajinkya Rahanec Peter Handscomb b Steve O'Keefe 13 55 1 0 23.64
32.4
S O'Keefe to Rahane, OUT! WHATTAY CATCH! Tossed up delivery, around leg, Rahane looks to flick but it turns very late and takes the leading edge. It flies towards Handscomb at second slip who takes a sharp low catch. Jinx thinks that the catch was not clean and holds his ground. However, the replays show that the catch was valid. Suddenly, India have lost half their side!
Ravichandran Ashwinc Peter Handscomb b Nathan Lyon 1 4 0 0 25
33.3
N Lyon to Ashwin, OUT! The hosts are falling like nine pins. Handscomb takes a screamer at short leg! Lyon tosses this one on middle, Ashwin goes back to defend it. He blocks it but it bounces on his right shoe and goes towards the short leg, who dives to his right to take a one handed catch! The Australians think it's out and the umpire takes the referral; the soft signal is out. And the replays indicate that the catch is clean! Four wickets have fallen off eight deliveries. The Australians are delighted and why not!
Wriddhiman Saha (W)c Steven Smith b Steve O'Keefe 0 2 0 0 0
32.6
S O'Keefe to Saha, OUT! INDIA ARE FALLING APART! It's not Starc not Lyon but O'Keefe who's creating havoc! It was the bounce that surprised Saha here. Tossed up delivery, Saha stays on his back foot to defend it, but it bounces a bit more. It hits the outside of his bat, Wade fails to grab it, but Smith grabs it on the rebound. Three wickets off one over and the match has turned on its head!
Ravindra Jadejac Mitchell Starc b Steve O'Keefe 2 14 0 0 14.29
38.2
S O'Keefe to Jadeja, OUT! Fifer for SOK! Some might question the shot Jadeja played but he had to go for it given the situation of the match! Tosses this one around off, Jadeja comes down the ground wanting to clear the long on fence. But he hasn't connected it well. Starc gets under it to take a calm catch! India have lost their nine wickets and trail by 159 runs!
Jayant Yadavst Matthew Wade b Steve O'Keefe 2 10 0 0 20
36.3
O'Keefe to Yadav, OUT! A MS Dhoni-esque stumping that from Wade! Steve makes Jayant leans forward to defend it and he does. However, he's beaten on the turn, Wade collects it and whips the bails off. Steve gets his fourth! Replays show that Yadav's back foot is on the line and he has to depart! The Indian fans cannot believe it. Australia can bundle India out under 100 here!

Ashwin to Warner, OUT! Ashwin gets his man. Slower through the air, on the sticks, Warner looks to defend but misses and gets rapped right in front of the stumps. The umpire has no hesitation to give it out. Warner ponders about taking a review for a bit but decides against it!
Shaun Marshlbw b Ravichandran Ashwin 0 21 0 0 0

R Ashwin to Marsh, OUT! ASHWIN STRIKES AGAIN! Right off the last ball of the over. He switches the angle, comes from around the wicket and floats it on middle and off. It doesn't turn and goes straight on. Raps Shaun Marsh on the front pad on his attempted front foot block and an appeal for a leg before quickly goes up. The umpire has no trouble in raising his finger.
Steven Smith (C)lbw b Ravindra Jadeja 109 202 11 0 53.96
74.5
R Jadeja to Smith, OUT! The decision stays as it is! Smith has to walk back but not before playing a wonderful knock! A possible match-winning ton in every sense! Tossed up around off, it spins in sharply as Smith tries to swipe it across the line but misses and is hit on the pads right in front of the stumps. A loud appeal for LBW and the umpire raises his finger. Smith takes the review and replays show it was in line and would have gone on to crash the stumps. Smith walks back amidst loud cheers. Australia lead by 401! Also, this was Jadeja's 100th wicket in India.
Peter Handscombc Murali Vijay b Ravichandran Ashwin 19 34 3 0 55.88
20.6
R Ashwin to Handscomb, OUT! Finally, Ashwin breaks the partnership. Bowls this slower through the air, Handscomb camps back looking to tuck it away, but it takes the inside edge, hits his thigh pad and flies towards Vijay at leg slip who cups it easily. The extra bounce got him there! Australia lead by 216 runs.
Matt Renshawc Ishant Sharma b Jayant Yadav 31 50 5 0 62
34.1
J Yadav to Renshaw, OUT! Why? There was absolutely no need to play that. And you can clearly see that from the southpaw's expression who is in utmost disbelief. Flighted delivery, around off, Renshaw comes down the ground and lofts it high up in the air. Ishant Sharma runs across from long off and cups it comfortably. Australia lead by 268 runs.
Mitchell Marshc Wriddhiman Saha b Ravindra Jadeja 31 76 4 1 40.79
53.2
Jadeja to Marsh, OUT! Edged and taken! Good take by Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps. Jadeja bowls it on a fuller length around off, it turns a bit as Mitchell Marsh presses forward to block. It takes a faint edge as the keeper behind collects it nicely in his gloves. Beautiful delivery, early breakthrough for India. Australia lead by 324 runs.
Matthew Wade (W)c Wriddhiman Saha b Umesh Yadav 20 42 2 0 47.62
65.6
Yadav to Wade, OUT! This time he's gone. The noise was quite loud and he's going to have to walk back. Karma, as some would say. Umesh Yadav from around the wicket hurls it on a fuller length in the off stump channel, Wade looks to play the booming drive but gets an edge. Saha fumbles first but then collects it. Australia lose another wicket and lead by 359 runs.
Mitchell Starcc Lokesh Rahul b Ravichandran Ashwin 30 31 2 3 96.77
77.6
R Ashwin to Starc, OUT! In the air... taken! Ashwin once again tosses it up around off, Starc gets down on one knee to slog sweep it but doesn't get enough meat this time. The ball goes towards deep mid-wicket where KL Rahul comes running in and takes a good catch. Starc departs and Ashwin finally gets a wicket today.
Steve O'Keefec Wriddhiman Saha b Ravindra Jadeja 6 42 1 0 14.29

R Jadeja to O'Keefe, OUT! The decision stays as it is! Jadeja tosses it up around middle, it turns away after pitching, Steve O'Keefe presses forward to defend but the ball takes a faint outside edge as Saha behind the stumps takes a good catch. They appeal and umpire Llong raises his dreaded finger. The batsman takes the review and Ultra Edge shows little spike as the ball went past the bat. That's it, AUSTRALIA HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 285! LUNCH HAS BEEN TAKEN!
Nathan Lyonlbw b Umesh Yadav 13 13 1 1 100

U Yadav to Lyon, OUT! Dead plumb! Once again Yadav goes wide of the crease and angles it in from outside off, Lyon hangs back in defense but completely misses the line and is hit flush on the pads right in front of the stumps. O'Keefe to Vijay, OUT! The decision stays as it is! Steve O'Keefe strikes in his first over! Steve floats it up around middle and off, it skids in a bit, Murali Vijay lunges forward to defend but misses the line and gets rapped on the pads. A loud appeal for an LBW and umpire Kettleborough raises his finger. Vijay walks towards Rahul and then takes the review. Replays show it was in line and would have gone on to clip the leg stump. So, umpire's call! India lose a review as well!
Lokesh Rahullbw b Nathan Lyon 10 9 1 0 111.11
5.3
N Lyon to Rahul, OUT! Now both the openers are back in the hut and so are both the reviews. And we're still in the 6th over! Unreal stuff. Lyon floats it outside off, it spins in sharply and keeps very low as well. Rahul moves across to flick it away but is undone by the low bounce and misses. Is caught on the pads and Australia instantly go up in an appeal. The umpire raises his finger and Rahul takes the review. Replays show the impact is the umpire's call and it's going on to hit the stumps. India in some early trouble here.
Cheteshwar Pujaralbw b Steve O'Keefe 31 58 2 0 53.45
28.5
S O'Keefe to Pujara, OUT! All the Indian batsmen are playing for the turn and falling prey to Steve O'Keefe. Bowls this slightly flatter on middle, Pujara leans forward to defend but plays down the wrong line and the ball raps his pads. Australia go up in a jiffy and the umpire obliges. The away side has struck straightaway.
Virat Kohli (C)b Steve O'Keefe 13 37 1 0 35.14
16.2
S O'Keefe to Kohli, OUT! Bowled 'em! Right through the gate! Steve O'Keefe has gotten the big fish! He bowls a loopy ball around off, it goes through with the arm, Kohli lunges forward and then for some reason doesn't play at it as he leaves it alone. The ball skids through to rattle the furniture behind. Kohli is stranded as he can't believe, Australia marching along.
Ajinkya Rahanec Nathan Lyon b Steve O'Keefe 18 21 3 0 85.71
22.3
S O'Keefe to A Rahane, OUT! RAHANE IS GONE! That's a very soft dismissal really, Rahane should be disappointed with that. Nice amount of flight, tossed up outside off, it's slower through the air as Ajinkya Rahane leans ahead to drive. He's a bit too early into the shot and ends up playing uppishly. It lobs straight towards Nathan Lyon at extra cover who takes a good catch diving forward. India slip further.
Ravichandran Ashwinlbw b Steve O'Keefe 8 11 1 0 72.73
24.4
O'Keefe to Ashwin, OUT! The decision is overturned and Steve O'Keefe has got his maiden 10-fer in Tests. What an outstanding feat from the spinner. Was brilliant in the first innings and has now continued that excellence in this one. He bowls it full on the stumps, Ashwin looks to play at it with bat and pad close together. It hits him but not sure what got hit first. The umpire doesn't respond to the lbw appeal and so Australia review it. Replays show it is pad first and Ashwin is caught dead plumb in front of the stumps.
Wriddhiman Saha (W)lbw b Steve O'Keefe 5 13 1 0 38.46
28.3
O'Keefe to Saha, OUT! O'Keefe with another one. He has another 5-fer to his name, I'm running out of words to describe this man's performance. He bowls a slider which comes in with the arm, catches Saha on the pads and the appeal goes up almost immediately. The umpire takes a second and raises his finger in response. Australia inch closer to victory as India have lost more than half their side now.
Ravindra Jadejab Nathan Lyon 3 11 0 0 27.27
31.4
N Lyon to Jadeja, OUT! CHOPPED ON! Bowls it slightly quicker, Jadeja goes back wanting to cut but it takes the inside edge and goes onto hit the stumps and off comes the bail. The ball stayed slightly slow and the batsman misread it. The southpaw has to depart and the end is near for India.
Jayant Yadavc Matthew Wade b Nathan Lyon 5 17 1 0 29.41
33.5
N Lyon to Yadav, OUT! That's it. Australia win by 333 runs! Slower delivery through the air, Jayant goes forward to defend but it hits his front pad and the ball lobs in the air behind as Wade moves to his left and takes it. The visitors appeal and the umpire obliges. Unfortunate decision that because it wasn't out as the replays failed to show any inside edge. But the Australians don't mind and they are delighted!
Ishant Sharmac David Warner b Nathan Lyon 0 2 0 0 0
31.6
N Lyon to Sharma, OUT! Lyon dismisses Ishant and SOK will not be able to dismiss all the Indian batsmen in one match. Bowls it slower through the air, on middle, Ishant comes forward to defend but it hits his gloves onto his thigh pad and lobs in the air towards Warner at leg slip who cups it easily. Australia need just 1 wicket to take the lead in this 4-match series.
