There would be 10 teams up for sale and to be owned by franchisees which could be corporate houses, individuals or district associations, he said, adding that the base price of each team would be Rs 4 lakh.

The OPL teams would be located in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Berhampur, Keonjhar, Angul, Jharsuguda, Puri and Kendrapara.

“The owners of these teams would be allowed to purchase at least 20 players, 10 of whom shall be from these venues and adjacent areas,” Behera said.
