Dean Elgarc Mustafizur Rahman b Subashis Roy 113 152 17 0 74.34
53.4
S Roy to Elgar, OUT! Elgar falls to the short ball and Mustafizur Rahman takes the catch. He is smiling since he knows that he set it up. Roy bowls a shorter one around leg, Elgar looks to pull it but gets a top edge and puts his head down as soon as he hits that. Rahman comes in from the deep at fine leg and takes a good tumbling catch. A wicket at last for the Tigers and it is a well-earned one. The marathon partnership comes to an end.
Aiden Markramb Rubel Hossain 143 186 22 0 76.88
58.4
Hossain to Markram, OUT! Bowled 'em! Double bluff from Hossain does the trick! Markram is standing deep in the crease, expecting the short delivery. Instead, Rubel bowls a pinpoint yorker in line of the stumps. Aiden is caught in a tangle, with his feet going nowhere. Misses it completely and the middle stump goes for a toss. Brilliant passage of play for Bangladesh. Suddenly the energy levels are up and they are breathing fire at the moment! A terrific knock from the youngster comes to an end.
Hashim Amlab Subashis Roy 132 163 17 0 80.98
113.6
Roy to H Amla, OUT! Timber! A majestic knock from the mighty Hash comes to an end! Tame dismissal really. Amla walks across a long way across his stumps, trying to force the issue. Roy spots him and smartly bowls a length delivery in line of the stumps. Hashim misses and sees the furniture behind him get shattered. Third wicket for the pacer. The mammoth 247-run stand finally comes to an end. Some relief for Bangladesh!
Temba Bavumac Liton Das b Subashis Roy 7 12 1 0 58.33
61.2
S Roy to Bavuma, OUT! Roy is on song! Intelligent bowling by him brings the reward. Good captaincy from Rahim too. He brought in two slips and a gully for this over. Subashis bowls this on a good length around off, gets it to seam away after pitching. There is a bit of extra bounce as well which unsettles Bavuma. He attempts to cut it through square of the wicket on the off side but only ends up getting a thick outside edge. Liton Das behind the stumps doesn't make a mistake this time around. Moves to his right to take a regulation catch. What a comeback from the visitors!

Imrul Kayesc Quinton de Kock b Kagiso Rabada 26 46 4 0 56.52
17.3
K Rabada to Kayes, OUT! Edged and taken! Rabada bowls it outside off, on a driving length, Kayes drives but without any footwork. The ball takes the outside edge and flies to the left of de Kock behind the wickets. He dives to his strong side and snaps up the catch. Ideal start for South Africa and Bangladesh are five down for nothing! Trail by 512 runs.
Soumya Sarkarb Kagiso Rabada 9 24 2 0 37.5
6.4
Rabada to S Sarkar, OUT! Bowled 'em! Poor batting from Sarkar and he pays the price for it. He moves inside the line anticipating the short delivery. Rabada however bowls it around leg stump. Soumya tries to tuck it away but misses it completely to get his stumps rattled. The opener certainly got surprised. Rabada is up and running.
Mominul Haquec Quinton de Kock b Duanne Olivier 4 7 1 0 57.14
9.4
D Olivier to Haque, OUT! The short ball has done the trick! Good bowling from Olivier and he reaps the reward. He steams in and bowls a short delivery around the rib cage of Haque. He shuffles a bit, tries to fend it away but only manages to get some glove on it. The ball flies towards Quinton de Kock behind the stumps who moves to his right and takes a regulation catch. South Africa right on top!
Mushfiqur Rahim (C)c Temba Bavuma b Duanne Olivier 7 8 1 0 87.5
11.5
D Olivier to M Rahim, OUT! What a spectacular catch! Probably one of the best catches I have ever seen. Temba Bavuma, you little beauty! Short of a length delivery outside off, width on offer. Rahim hops and forces it uppishly towards gully. Bavuma stationed there dives full length to his right like a goalkeeper and grabs it one-handed. That was really traveling, almost behind him and to pluck that out of thin air requires some serious skills. His teammates run towards him to congratulate him. Ottis Gibson, the head coach and Charl Langeveldt, the bowling coach in SA dressing room can't believe it either! It looks all gloomy for the visitors now with the skipper back in the hut.
Mahmudullahc Quinton de Kock b Wayne Parnell 4 6 1 0 66.67
14.2
W Parnell to Mahmudullah, OUT! Bangladesh are in dire straits now! Everything is falling apart for them. Good length delivery outside off, some extra bounce on that. Mahmudullah shapes to force it through covers initially but the zip does him in. He is too late to bail out of the stroke. Ends up getting a faint nick behind and de Kock does the rest. Parnell is a happy man and why not!
Liton Das (W)c Faf du Plessis b Kagiso Rabada 70 77 13 0 90.91
38.6
Rabada to L Das, OUT! Rabada is so effective in breaking partnerships, rises to the occasion again! Liton Das departs after playing a brilliant knock. Back of a length ball on off, skids through the surface. Das goes for the pull but is hurried into it by the pace on that delivery. Ends up getting a top edge that spoons over the slip cordon. Faf du Plessis from second slip backtracks and so does Bavuma from gully. The skipper calls for the catch and takes it nicely reverse cup. End of a fighting knock by the Bangladesh keeper.
Sabbir Rahmanc Wayne Parnell b Kagiso Rabada 0 6 0 0 0
19.3
K Rabada to Rahman, OUT! Soft dismissals galore, here's another one for the away side! Rabada floats it outside off, Rahman is lured into the drive. Does not bother to keep it down and the ball flies straight into the hands of Parnell at short extra cover. There is a slight fumble but he holds onto the chance. Sabbir departs for a duck. Bangladesh continue to sink further. They still trail South Africa by 508 runs.
Taijul Islamb Duanne Olivier 12 38 0 0 31.58
31.2
D Olivier to T Islam, OUT! The change of angle brings about the downfall of Islam! The spinner's resistance comes to an end and also the 50-run stand. Olivier steams in from around the wicket and bowls a good length delivery outside off, gets it to angle in prodigiously. Taijul stays back and looks to keep it out but leaves a big gap between his bat and pad. The ball goes right through there and disturbs the furniture behind. Duanne has his third.
Rubel Hossainb Kagiso Rabada 10 33 2 0 30.3
42.5
Rabada to Hossain, OUT! Bowled 'em! Fast, fiery and accurate. 6th five-wicket haul for the youngster. He is a special talent and he has again proved why. Stepped up and rose to the occasion in the absence of their premier pace bowlers. Rabada bowls a pinpoint yorker in line of the stumps, Hossain backs away as he has done throughout his innings and looks to keep it out. However, it is too good for him and the ball crashes into the stumps. That's the final nail in the coffin. BANGLADESH ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 147!
Mustafizur Rahmanc Aiden Markram b Keshav Maharaj 0 3 0 0 0
39.3
Maharaj to Rahman, OUT! Gone! Another one bites the dust. Slow through the air outside off, spinning in. Rahman prods forward to smother the turn but seems to have got a thick inside edge onto his pads. The ball lobs towards Aiden Markram at short leg who takes it and appeals confidently. However, the umpire stays put. Faf is confident as well and goes for the review straightaway. The replays roll in. It confirms a thick inside edge. The third umpire takes a long time to rule it out for some reason. Successful review for South Africa. Bangladesh are falling down like a pack of cards. They still need 231 runs more to avoid the follow-on.

D Olivier to Kayes, OUT! Strangled down the leg side! Tame dismissal really. Back of a length delivery around leg stump, Kayes moves inside the line and looks to tuck it across. However, he only manages to get a faint nick behind. De Kock moves to his right and takes a regulation catch. Bangladesh are falling down like a pack of cards. They still trail by 363 runs with only 7 wickets in hand.
Soumya Sarkarc Faf du Plessis b Kagiso Rabada 3 8 0 0 37.5
4.2
K Rabada to S Sarkar, OUT! Poor shot! Length ball outside off, Sarkar should not be playing at those but he hangs his bat out for it. The ball takes the outside edge and carries nicely to Faf du Plessis at second slip. The skipper dives to his right and takes the catch easily. Poor run of form continues for Soumya and that is also the 50th Test wicket for Rabada in 2017!
Mominul Haquec Keshav Maharaj b Kagiso Rabada 11 13 1 0 84.62
8.5
K Rabada to Haque, OUT! GONE! Wicket number 2 for South Africa in quick succession. Bangladesh already starting to fall apart here. Losing wickets to poor shots too, not good at all. Rabada brings out the short one again and Mominul Haque takes the pull shot on. Connects well too, but finds Maharaj at deep mid-wicket. He was positioned there specifically for this, the batsman saw he was there too. No idea why he played that shot. Mominul departs, South Africa on the charge here.
Mushfiqur Rahim (C)lbw b Wayne Parnell 26 45 3 0 57.78
23.4
W Parnell to Rahim, OUT! Parnell gets the big fish! Good bowling from him, kept probing in that off stump channel and has reaped the dividends. Length delivery on middle and off, straightens a bit after pitching. Rahim leaves it alone expecting it to angle away like earlier, but it just straightens slightly. He is pinged on the front pad and up go the Proteas in unison. Bruce Oxenford decides to rule it out. The skipper walks across to Mahmudullah and decides to challenge the decision. Time for the replays. Impact is in line, pitching in line and it is going on to clip the off stump. Since it is clipping, the umpire's call stays. Mushfiqur has to go back but Bangladesh don't lose a review. LUNCH ON DAY 3!
Mahmudullahc Dean Elgar b Kagiso Rabada 43 59 7 1 72.88
33.6
K Rabada to Mahmudullah, OUT! 100th Test wicket for Kagiso Rabada! Shorter in length outside off, Mahmudullah thinks runs and hence looks to run it down to third man despite the presence of so many fielders in the slip region. The ball carries nicely to Dean Elgar at gully who leaps to his left and takes a really good catch. He dropped a couple in the first Test so he will be happy with this one. Two quick wickets for the home side. The deficit is still 287 runs.
Liton Das (W)b Andile Phehlukwayo 18 25 4 0 72
32.5
Phehlukwayo to L Das, OUT! Gets the wicket, the captain wanted! Good length ball around off, comes in with the angle, Das looks to leave but an error in judgement means that the ball crashes into the stumps. A wicket against the run of play. Das departs after a fighting effort. Poor leave really, given the movement and the set up was too obvious.
Sabbir Rahmanc Faf du Plessis b Andile Phehlukwayo 4 12 1 0 33.33
36.6
A Phehlukwayo to Rahman, OUT! Another one bites the dust! Good length outside off, Rahman pokes at it from his crease and gets an outside edge. The ball carries nicely to Faf du Plessis at second slip who takes it to his left. South Africa just three wickets away now.
Taijul Islamb Kagiso Rabada 2 9 0 0 22.22
37.2
K Rabada to Islam, OUT! TIMBER! Good length outside off, Rabada gets it to come back in, Taijul Islam backing away has no clue and just hangs his bat out for it. The ball crashes into the stumps off the inside edge. Nine in the game for Rabada. South Africa are blowing away Bangladesh here.
Rubel Hossainb Kagiso Rabada 7 8 1 0 87.5
39.2
Rabada to Hossain, OUT! 10 in the game for Kagiso Rabada, his third 10-wicket haul in Tests, all have come at home. Full and fast on the middle stump, Rubel Hossain cannot get his bat down in time and has his furniture disturbed. South Africa just a wicket away. Bangladesh still trail by 270 runs, just for the formality.
