Liton Dasc Ashley Nurse b Kesrick Williams 61 32 6 3 190.63
10.5
K Williams to L Das, OUT! Another one bites the dust. Bangladesh suddenly losing steam after a great start. Beautifully executed from Kesrick and he gets the danger man, Liton Das. Bowls a slower one around off, Das uses his feet and looks to loft it over mid off but is beaten by the lack of pace. Ends up chipping it to Nurse stationed there. He knew it as soon as he hit it. Williams puts his name in his imaginary book and a blazing knock from Liton comes to an end.
Tamim Iqbalc Kesrick Williams b Carlos Brathwaite 21 13 3 1 161.54
4.4
C Brathwaite to T Iqbal, OUT! Absolutely against the run of play! The captain delivers when it was badly needed and he is pumped up. Iqbal pre-meditates as he shuffles across. Brathwaite smartly bowls a slower one on a length on middle and off. Iqbal kneels to play the paddle scoop but doesn't have enough pace to work it. Ends up playing it straight towards Williams at short fine leg who takes it easily. Iqbal who was the Man of the Match in the previous game walks off.
Soumya Sarkarc Rovman Powell b Keemo Paul 5 4 1 0 125
5.2
K Paul to S Sarkar, OUT! Excellent presence of mind from Keemo Paul and he gets the reward as well! Wickets in quick succession for Windies, just what the doctor ordered for them. The mid on fielder was just pushed back behind and Paul bowls a ball according to the situation. Back of the hand slower one on a fullish length on off, encouraging Sarkar for an expansive shot. He falls prey to it and goes for a lofted shot but mistimes it towards long on. Powell stationed there is safe as houses. Almost an identical dismissal for him as the previous game, Paul gets the better of him twice.
Mushfiqur Rahim (W)c Denesh Ramdin b Carlos Brathwaite 12 14 1 0 85.71
9.6
C Brathwaite to M Rahim, OUT! Brathwaite strikes again, gets his second wicket to be precise! He has been the calm amidst the storm for the Windies. Bowls an identical delivery to the previous one but the only difference is that this one comes in substantially from a back of a length around off. There is some extra lift as well as Rahim tries to manufacture a dab to third man. However, he is cramped for room and only manages to glove it behind. Ramdin does the rest. The hosts need to keep chipping away at the wickets.
Shakib Al Hasan (C)c Ashley Nurse b Keemo Paul 24 22 2 0 109.09
15.6
K Paul to Al Hasan, OUT! Gone! The slower ball has done the trick! Paul takes the pace off this one and lands it in line of the stumps. Shakib shuffles and looks to whip this over deep square leg. Cannot time it well enough and finds Nurse there. Big wicket for the hosts as Shakib towards the end can prove to be dangerous.

Chadwick Waltonc sub b Soumya Sarkar 19 19 3 0 100
4.5
S Sarkar to C Walton, OUT! What, really? Walton has hit that down the throat of the substitute fielder Sabbir Rahman at long on. A nothing delivery really, on middle and on a length, Walton lofts it off the front foot but gets more height than distance. An easy catch in the deep and Windies lose a wicket to the part-timer. He is ecstatic and so is the Bangladesh camp.
Andre Fletcherc Nazmul Islam b Mustafizur Rahman 6 7 0 0 85.71
3.5
M Rahman to A Fletcher, OUT! In the air... gone! Proactive stuff from the visitors. Just a ball prior to this one, Islam was sent to the deep backward point region for this exact shot. Rahman cleverly delivers this wide outside off, angling it across Fletcher. The batsman slices it from his crease. The ball goes aerially towards the fielder who stations himself nicely and takes the catch just inside the fence. Bangladesh have their first after keeping a check on the run-rate.
Marlon Samuelsb Shakib Al Hasan 2 7 0 0 28.57
5.6
Al Hasan to M Samuels, OUT! You bet he can. Ends it by shattering the stumps. Yes, the ball did stay low but credit to Shakib for varying his pace beautifully. Bowled the last one a touch slow and on the fuller side. This time he bowls it quicker and on a slightly shorter length. Once again it is the arm ball as it comes in with the angle. Samuels goes back to punch it through the off side but the ball stays very low. Samuels is too late to adjust as the ball goes beneath his bat and hits the middle stump. He stands there in disbelief but then has to walk back. Third wicket in the Powerplay for Bangladesh and they now have the Windies in dire straits. They need another 153.
Rovman Powellc Abu Hider b Mustafizur Rahman 23 20 2 0 115
13.1
M Rahman to R Powell, OUT! In the air... taken! Another batsman pays the price for playing across the line. Never a good idea doing so, especially to Rahman who is always angling the ball away from you. He lands it on the shorter side outside off, rolls his fingers over it and slants it away further with the angle. Powell needed to go and hence, he tries to clear the mid-wicket fence with the pull. He only manages to get a top edge which goes high up in the air towards backward point where Hider settles under it and takes it. Half the side back in the hut for the Windies. The good thing for them though is they still have Russell out there.
Denesh Ramdin (W)b Rubel Hossain 21 18 1 1 116.67
11.3
R Hossain to D Ramdin, OUT! TIMBER! The bowling change has worked for Bangladesh as another one bites the dust. It is a length ball which tails back in a little from outside off. It also skids off the surface. Ramdin clears his front leg and goes for the heave but misses it altogether. The ball clips the off pole. Ramdin starts walking back but he has been asked to wait as the umpire wants to check the front foot. Replays show it is fine and Ramdin is given the marching orders.
Andre Russellc Ariful Haque b Mustafizur Rahman 47 21 1 6 223.81
17.1
M Rahman to A Russell, OUT! Game, set and match! It has to be, right? Well, looking at the way the Bangladesh players are celebrating, they surely feel so. A low full toss on off, not the easiest of deliveries to put away. Russell does try to hit it over the long off fence but it goes off the lower part of the bat. Ariful Haque there does really well to judge it and takes it just inside the rope with the fingers pointing towards the sky. End of a power-packed innings by Russell, he walks back dejected but he is the reason why the Windies have gotten so close in the first place.
Carlos Brathwaite (C)c sub b Abu Hider 5 10 0 0 50
16.3
Abu Hider to C Brathwaite, OUT! Brathwaite holes out! Another failure for him. Excellent change of length by Hider. He bangs it short outside off, Carlos may not have expected it as his weight is on the front foot. He still tries to drag his pull but only gets a top edge which lobs towards long on where the substitute, Sabbir Rahman, cups it by taking a couple of steps backward.
