England will be touring Bangladesh in October for two Tests and three One-Day Internationals (ODIs). England team will be arriving in Dhaka (Bangladesh) on September 30. The last time England played in Bangladesh was more than six years ago. England will be high in spirits after winning the Test series against Sri Lanka back home by 2-0 with third Test washed out on Day 5. Eoin Morgan will be leading the side in ODIs whereas Alastair Cook will take on the charge of Test team afterwards. Cook has recently completed 10,000 Test runs. England have not lost a single Test against Bangladesh till date. They have won eight matches against the hosts and will be looking to maintain that record. England are currently on No.4 spot on ICC Test Rankings whereas Bangladesh stand on No. 9 spot. English veteran pacer James Anderson has been in brilliant form in the Test series completing his 450 Test wickets, also surpassing Kapil Dev’s record of 434 wickets in the series. Bangladesh will be looking to better their record and try to register at least one win against visitors as they have the home advantage. They have not played a single Test since August 2015. The last match they played was against South Africa at Dhaka against South Africa. It will be a transition for Bangladesh will have to make from limited overs cricket to Test cricket. England have an upper hand going into the tournament seeing the form they have been in recently.
