Matthew Renshawb Imran Khan 184 293 20 0 62.8
93.6
I Khan to Renshaw, OUT! DRAGS ON! A brilliant innings comes to an end. Good length delivery angling across, Renshaw shuffles across to dab it towards third man but the ball catches an inside edge which goes onto hit the timber and Imran Khan is finally rewarded with a wicket. So Renshaw misses out on a double ton.
David Warnerc Sarfraz Ahmed b Wahab Riaz 113 95 17 0 118.95
32.3
W Riaz to Warner, OUT! POCKET SIZE DYNAMITE DEPARTS! Back of a length delivery outside off, Warner tries to guide it towards third man but the ball catches the outside edge and goes straight to the keeper. Warner will be unhappy there as he was looking set for a big daddy hundred. The umpire checks for the no ball but much to the delight of Pakistan, this time Riaz was well in line. Sarfraz gets his 100th Test dismissal in the process.
Usman Khawajac Sarfraz Ahmed b Wahab Riaz 13 40 0 0 32.5
48.1
W Riaz to Khawaja, OUT! Edged and gone! Riaz strikes again and you gotta give it to this man. He bowls with venom and was ought to reap dividends. Riaz keeps it full and serves it outside off, Khawaja with no foot movement tries to reach out to that one. Gets an inside edge and Sarfraz behind the stumps takes an easy regulation catch. Pakistan are delighted as they dropped had Khawaja earlier but it did not cause them much.
Steven Smith (C)c Sarfraz Ahmed b Yasir Shah 24 40 3 0 60
59.5
Y Shah to Smith, OUT! SKIPPER DEPARTS! Quicker through the air and Smith camps back in his crease. He tries to cut that ball through the point region but he has nicked it straight to the keeper. Sarfraz takes a good reflex catch. A loud appeal and the umpire is quick to rule it out. Smith on his 50th Test has to depart early compared to his standards. Yasir Shah finally gets a wicket.
Peter Handscombhit wicket b Wahab Riaz 110 205 9 0 53.66
131.5
W Riaz to Handscomb, OUT! What's happened there? That's hit wicket! Fuller delivery outside off, Handscomb goes deep in his crease and guides it towards third man. But there is something we also missed except Sarfraz. The bails were dislodged somehow. He appeals and the decision is referred upstairs. Handscomb starts walking just when Sarfraz appeals. The replays show that in the process of dragging back he did hit the stumps with his bat and one of the bails fell out. That's an end of a very good knock with an unusual dismissal.
Hilton Cartwrightb Imran Khan 37 97 5 0 38.14
123.5
I Khan to Cartwright, OUT! WOAH! A ripper to take Hilton off! That was a teasing length outside off, Cartwright goes to push the ball on the off side but the ball angles in a bit after pitching which takes the batsman by surprise. The ball finds an inside edge and knocks the top of the stumps. The debutant has to depart after a promising start. Mathhew Wade comes out to bat next.
Matthew Wade (W)c Babar Azam b Azhar Ali 29 33 2 0 87.88
134.4
A Ali to Wade, OUT! In the air.... taken this time! Ali finally gets a wicket! Floated ball around middle and leg, Wade gets down on one knee to slog sweep but gets a big top edge. The ball balloons high in the air towards short fine leg where Babar Azam keeps his eyes on the ball and settles under the skier.
Mitchell Starcc sub b Azhar Ali 16 11 0 2 145.45
134.6
A Ali to Starc, OUT! What-a-catch! Riaz and substitute fielder Rizwan almost collided but the latter did well to hold on to the catch. Around middle and off, Mitchell Starc tries to heave it across the line but ends up miscuing it high in the air towards mid-wicket. Rizwan comes running in, Riaz also comes running in from deep square leg. No calling whatsoever and the substitute fielder eventually goes for the catch. Riaz stops, tumbles but Rizwan does really well to hold on to the ball. Starc's cameo comes to an end and with that AUSTRALIA HAVE DECLARED ON 538/8!

N Lyon to Younis, OUT! RUN OUT! The only way they could have got a wicket! Tossed up on the pads, Younis flicks it in the mid-wicket region where the fielder puts in a dive but the ball goes under him towards mid on. Starc at mid on was quick to throw it at the striker's end where Ali was struggling to reach at. Ali was caught ball watching there. The bad calling between Ali and Younis has paid dividends for the Aussies.
Sharjeel Khanc Matthew Renshaw b Josh Hazlewood 4 7 1 0 57.14
3.1
J Hazlewood to Khan, OUT! Edged and gone! Hazlewood draws first blood! On a length and angling across, Sharjeel Khan with no foot movement tries to drive it away and pays the price for the same. Gets a thick edge behind where Matthew Renshaw at first slip accepts a nice reverse cup catch at a chest height. Australia have gotten an early breakthrough.
Babar Azamlbw b Josh Hazlewood 0 4 0 0 0
3.5
J Hazlewood to Azam, OUT! Azam bags a duck! Josh Hazlewood comes steaming in and angles it in on the middle. Babar Azam looks to work it across the line but is undone by the inward swing there. Is rapped flush on the pads and there goes a loud appeal for an LBW. The umpire immediately raises his finger to rule him out. Azam walks to Ali to ask if he should opt for the review. They take a bit more time and the umpire signals the time is up. Replays show it was in line and would have hit the stumps.
Younis Khannot out 175 334 17 3 52.4
Misbah-ul-Haq (C)c sub b Nathan Lyon 18 43 1 0 41.86
65.6
N Lyon to Misbah, OUT! Lyon strikes and it's a complete brain fade from Misbah! How many times we have seen him getting out like this? Lyon floats it up around off, turns in a bit, Misbah sits down to bring out the desperate slog sweep. He gets the elevation but not the distance as the substitute fielder Jackson Bird takes a safe catch near the deep mid-wicket region. The Aussies strike early after the break, Pakistan trail by 360!
Asad Shafiqc Steven Smith b Stephen O'Keefe 4 18 0 0 22.22
72.4
O'Keefe to A Shafiq, OUT! Steven Smith has taken a blinder at first slip! Initially I thought he's given out LBW but replays show there was an inside edge. Tossed up delivery around off, Asad Shafiq prods forward to defend but gets a faint inside edge on the pads as the ball goes off Handscomb's pads and deflects further. But Steven Alert Smith at first slip quickly dives to his right and takes a one-handed screamer. Brilliant from the Aussie skipper and Pakistan have now lost half their side.
Sarfraz Ahmed (W)c sub b Mitchell Starc 18 24 2 0 75
82.3
M Starc to Ahmed, OUT! SARFRAZ WALKS BACK! Full delivery which was angling away from the stumps, Ahmed goes for a flashy drive and gets an outside edge straight into the hands of Jackson Bird (substitute) at gully who is having a good day on the field. Starc was always bowling at probing lengths and finally gets the reward. 100 runs needed more to avoid follow on.
Mohammad Amirc David Warner b Nathan Lyon 4 12 0 0 33.33
85.5
N Lyon to Amir, OUT! AMIR DEPARTS! Tossed up outside off and Amir attempts to go for a big shot. But he totally mistimes it and the ball goes towards Warner at mid off who takes a dolly. He won't drop those. 95 more required to avoid the follow on.
Wahab Riazb Nathan Lyon 8 19 0 1 42.11
93.1
N Lyon to Riaz, OUT! CLEANED UP! Tossed up outside off and Riaz goes to defend it with a big gap between his bat and pad. Lyon exploits it totally as he goes through the batsman's defense. A classic dismissal for every off spinner. Pakistan need 75 to avoid the follow on.
Yasir Shahc Steven Smith b Josh Hazlewood 10 41 1 0 24.39
110.1
J Hazlewood to Y Shah, OUT! GONE! Hazlewood breaks the partnership. Good length on fourth stump line, a bit of extra bounce as Yasir pushes tamely at it. The outside edge flies straight to Smith who takes a comfortable catch at second slip. Ends a valuable 51-run stand for Pakistan. More than the runs added, the time spent by the duo has more or less ensured that Australia may not enforce the follow-on even if they get the chance.
Imran Khanb Josh Hazlewood 0 2 0 0 0
110.3
Hazlewood to Khan, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! That's a real peach, too good for a tailender. Fuller just around off, tails in sharply as Imran is late to bring his bat down. Sneaks through the gap between bat and pad to disturb the timber. Beautiful bowling, Hazlewood has a 4-fer to his name. PAKISTAN HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 315.

W Riaz to Warner, OUT! GOT HIM! Relief on the faces of all the Pakistani players. Wahab gets Warner for the second time in the match. Length ball on middle, Warner was backing away a lot and had a wild swing at it but missed completely to find the timber disturbed. Ends the blitzkrieg but he has set the tone with this knock.
Usman Khawajanot out 79 98 5 1 80.61

Y Shah to Smith, OUT! YES HE HAS! Good review from Pakistan and the Australian captain has to go. This was drifting down the leg side and Smith went for the sweep as Sarfraz collected it. The keeper felt there was some noise and asks Misbah to go for the review after the caught behind appeal was denied. Replays show a slight spike on the Snickometer as the ball passes the glove. There's a tiny mark on the Hot Spot as well. So, the on-field call is overturned and Smith has to go.

Azhar Alic & b Josh Hazlewood 11 54 1 0 20.37
16.6
Hazlewood to Ali, OUT! GONE! Body blow to Pakistan in the very first over of the day. Length ball angled in from outside off, holds its line after pitching as Azhar plays across the line. Pushes at it too early and pops it straight back to Hazlewood who takes the easiest of return catches. Massive strike this and the Aussies know it. Azhar is disappointed but he has to go.
Sharjeel Khanc David Warner b Nathan Lyon 40 38 6 1 105.26
11.6
Lyon to Khan, OUT! GONE! Lyon draws first blood. Floated on off, steps out to flick it uppishly to mid-wicket where Warner takes a well-timed leaping catch. Poor shot from Sharjeel actually because it was against the spin but it's how he plays. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Yasir Shahc sub b Stephen O'Keefe 13 93 0 0 13.98
43.5
S O'Keefe to Shah, OUT! GONE THIS TIME! Fuller around off, draws Yasir into the push and the outside edge flies to the substitute Bird at second slip. Another O'Keefe delivery that spun quite a bit. Yasir isn't ready to walk and the umpires aren't sure if the catch is clean. The soft signal is out though. It's referred upstairs. It's a legal ball and the catch is as clean as it gets. Yasir's stubborn vigilance comes to an end. If only the specialist batsmen had shown his resolve, the visitors would have been in a better state. Pakistan have lost half their side.
Babar Azamlbw b Josh Hazlewood 9 11 2 0 81.82
20.4
Hazlewood to Azam, OUT! HAZLEWOOD HAS ANOTHER! Lovely spell this is from Josh. He's getting the line right and getting the ball to talk. Fuller ball around off, shapes back in sharply to ping Babar on the front pad as he plays across the line. Dead plumb it is, up goes the umpire's finger. Almost a replica of his first innings dismissal. Babar thinks of the review but then walks away. What a start to the morning for Australia!
Younis Khanc Josh Hazlewood b Nathan Lyon 13 31 2 0 41.94
29.5
N Lyon to Khan, OUT! SHOCKER FROM YOUNIS! Almost similar to the Misbah dismissal in the first innings except that this wasn't caught in the deep. Tossed up outside off, Younis charges down the pitch and looks to go big down the ground. Beats him in flight and he miscues it high up towards mid on where Hazlewood takes the skier with ease. What a waste of a wicket! Have to say though that Lyon deserved this wicket. Lovely lines from the spinner and he's got turn too.
Misbah-ul-Haq (C)c Nathan Lyon b Stephen O'Keefe 38 98 4 1 38.78
70.6
S O'Keefe to Misbah, OUT! GONE! That's two brain fade moments in the match for Misbah. What a terrible shot to play under such circumstances! Floated on off, he goes for the lofted stroke but miscues it high to mid off where Lyon takes the chance with ease after moving a few yards to his left. Misbah resisted the temptation for so long, only to play this shot. AUSTRALIA JUST 3 WICKETS AWAY.
Asad Shafiqb Mitchell Starc 30 55 4 0 54.55
57.3
M Starc to Shafiq, OUT! CHOPPED ON! That's the wicket Australia were looking for. Full and outside off, angling in, Shafiq goes for the flamboyant drive but gets a thick inside edge that cannons onto the stumps. Starc is absolutely pumped up. Huge blow for Pakistan as the solid Shafiq departs. AUSTRALIA NEED FOUR MORE WICKETS.
Sarfraz Ahmed (W)not out 72 70 8 1 102.86
Wahab Riazc Matthew Wade b Stephen O'Keefe 12 9 3 0 133.33
72.6
S O'Keefe to Riaz, OUT! Wahab has probably got unlucky here! Floated around off, drifting in and spins away as Wahab looks to push at it. Wade collects it and instantly appeal for the caught behind. The umpire isn't interested and Wade coaxes Smith into the review. The reviews will be reset anyway within 7 overs, so worth a gamble. Hot Spot doesn't show anything but there is a slight spike on the Snicko, although it's probably just after ball passes bat. But only just and the third umpire feels that it's evidence enough for the on-field call to be overturned. Not sure if it was clearly an edge but there was noise for sure and Wade went up instantly too. Wahab walks away dejected. AUSTRALIA JUST 2 WICKETS AWAY.
Mohammad Amirrun out (Stephen O'Keefe) 5 20 1 0 25

S Smith to Amir, OUT! CONFUSION AND GONE! Drifting in from outside off, tapped gently to the off side. Confusion in the running and Amir is sent back. Too late though as O'Keefe swoops in on the ball and fires a flat throw at the keeper's end for Wade to do the rest. Amir was nowhere near to making his ground. AUSTRALIA JUST NEED 1 MORE WICKET.
Imran Khanc sub b Josh Hazlewood 0 4 0 0 0
80.2
J Hazlewood to I Khan, OUT! WHITEWASH AFFECTED! Good length outside off, a bit of away movement as Imran pokes tamely at it. Gets the outside edge that flies towards gully where substitute Bird takes his fourth catch in the match - equals the best ever for a sub in a Test. Sarfraz' dream of a century, if he had one, will remain a dream. The hosts are absolutely pumped up in celebration. Tea won't have to be extended after all. AUSTRALIA WIN BY 220 RUNS.
