Brian Charic Sarfraz Ahmed b Usman Khan 1 15 0 0 6.67
3.3
U Khan to B Chari, OUT! Gone! The first duck's dead. Pakistan get their early breakthrough. He kept bringing it back in till now, then suddenly sends it the other way and gets the desired result. Usman Khan slants across a length delivery around off, Chari looks to punch this away from his body through the covers but only manages an edge behind. Skipper Sarfraz takes a regulation catch and completes the formalities.
Chamu Chibhabhac Sarfraz Ahmed b Usman Khan 7 17 1 0 41.18
7.1
U Khan to C Chibhabha, OUT! Second wicket down! Needless from Chibhabha, was too far away to even play at it. At least for now. Usman hurls it well outside off, Chamu throws his bat at it, looking to fiercely cut it through point. All he can do though, is manage a healthy edge behind where Sarfraz dives low to his right and takes it safely in his gloves.
Hamilton Masakadza (C)c Asif Ali b Shoaib Malik 59 75 5 2 78.67
27.4
S Malik to H Masakadza, OUT! That is a good catch and Pakistan have the breakthrough from the 7th bowler this morning. Tossed up outside off, Masakadza gets down and lines him up for another slog sweep. But he only manages to sky it up rather than getting the distance. Also, he chooses to hit it against the wind - not the best parameter to test your strength - only the heat of the sun can usually beat the force of the wind (had read it in a story when I was 8 years old). Seeing it demonstrated now. The fielder, Asif Ali comes running in from deep mid-wicket (after Sarfraz yells ASIF! ASIF! ASIFFFFFF!), loses the ball a bit in the air but manages to get to it and dives to take the catch. A fine 59 from the skipper - but could he have waited a bit more before playing the shot?
Tarisai Musakandalbw b Hasan Ali 24 34 2 0 70.59
19.5
H Ali to T Musakanda, OUT! Hasan Ali strikes! A timely wicket for the Pakistan camp. This partnership was building steadily, they needed to break it and the pacer has done what he usually does. Keeps it fuller and straighter, brings it back in and catches Musakanda on the pads who looks to play across the line. Big shout and the umpire doesn't waste any time raising his finger. Maybe it was going down leg, but it doesn't matter to Pakistan.
Peter Moorc Shoaib Malik b Hasan Ali 50 86 2 2 58.14
47.6
H Ali to P Moor, OUT! That is the end of Moor. It is a short ball, yes, but on the slower side. Peter pulls hard but has got more height than distance. Only finds Shoaib Malik at the mid-wicket fence. End of a decent knock from Moor. Who knows what might have happened had the partnership with Masakadza lasted longer - people in this cabin would have had to purchase hats first, so that they can eat them for predicting that Zimbabwe will get bowled out under 200.
Ryan Murray (W)b Hasan Ali 16 26 2 0 61.54
37.1
H Ali to R Murray, OUT! The off stump has taken a beating. Superb bowling. But has Hasan Ali hurt himself? He can get what my colleague is getting for himself right now - a neck message. He was trying to celebrate in his usual manner, trying to swing his hands ferociously, only to find some pain in the left side of his neck. Coming to the ball, he lands it on a length outside off, Murray looks to defend but is comprehensively beaten for pace. The ball darts in, goes past the bat and KABOOM.
Donald Tiripanob Usman Khan 13 20 1 0 65
43.2
U Khan to D Tiripano, OUT! The middle stump takes a beating this time. A pinpoint yorker, right at the base of the stumps, Tiripano backs away and looks to hit it through the off side but misses. Bang. Sound of timber getting uprooted.
Liam Rochelbw b Usman Khan 0 1 0 0 0
43.3
U Khan to L Roche, OUT! Dead plumb LBW now. Pakistan hastening Zimbabwe's innings to conclusion here. Usman Khan is on a hat-trick. Full and straight, Roche shuffles across a touch to play it through the leg side but misses. Cannot do that to such balls. Ian Gould barely takes a second to raise the finger.
Wellington Masakadzarun out (Hasan Ali) 12 13 1 0 92.31
47.2
H Ali to W Masakadza, OUT! Masakadza is well short! Boy, I do need to check my eyes, my spectacles and even my cornea. That did not look out at all. But replays show otherwise. On middle and leg, Masakadza pushed it to the leg side and set off for a single. There was a bit of a stutter from him, looking at his partner and then he continued running. Meanwhile, Hasan Ali showed how good a fielder he is too as he charged to the ball, picked it up in one go and aimed at the stumps - hitting the bull's eye. Replays also show that while reaching the other end, Wellington slowed down a touch - probably with the fear of getting hurt - that cost him big time.
Tendai Chatararun out (Fakhar Zaman) 1 5 0 0 20
49.2
H Ali to B Muzarabani, OUT! Another Pakistan fielder finds the stumps. Zimbabwe do not play out their 50 overs. On middle, Muzarabani pushes it towards mid on. There is a yes-yes no-no between the batsmen - just like you see between a number 10 and a number 11. Eventually, Chatara is sold a dummy down the river but he tries to get back. But Fakhar Zaman finds the stumps with an accurate throw. Hasan Ali is lucky - because had Zaman missed, the throw was heading right to Hasan's face. ZIMBABWE MANAGE 194!

Imam-ul-Haqrun out (Blessing Muzarabani) 44 51 4 0 86.27

B Muzarabani to F Zaman, OUT! Run out! A wicket against the run of play. A length ball on middle, cramping Fakhar for room who tries to keep it out. Gets an inside edge onto the pads and the ball rolls near the popping crease. Imam calls him through for a quick single and Zaman responds. Muzarabani also rushes across to the ball, gets down low to pick it and then disturbs the stumps as Imam dives in. They appeal and the square leg umpire refers it upstairs. The replays roll in and they show that Imam's bat is in the air as he dives in. It's over the crease but only aerially and has not landed inside even once. Had that happened, he would have been safe according to the new ICC rules. Anyway, Zimbabwe finally get a breakthrough. Too late though, one would say. End of a 119-run stand which has nearly put this game to bed in the favour of the touring team.
