Dean Brownlielbw b Dwaine Pretorius 34 44 6 0 77.27
12.6
D Pretorius to D Brownlie, OUT! Brownlie departs! Fuller in length on the stumps, Brownlie looks to clip it through but misses and is rapped on the pads. The players appeal and the umpire obliges. Brownlie does not even bother with the review as that looked pretty dead to the naked eye. A stand broken just in time for South Africa. Replays though show that it was missing the leg stump. Oh dear!
Tom Latham (W)c Andile Phehlukwayo b Wayne Parnell 2 6 0 0 33.33
3.3
W Parnell to Tom Latham, OUT! Easy as you like! Parnell bowls it on the pads, it is there to be hit but Latham hits it too well and finds Andile Phehlukwayo at mid-wicket who takes a simple catch. That is as soft a dismissal possible.
Kane Williamson (C)c Andile Phehlukwayo b Imran Tahir 69 75 6 0 92
30.3
I Tahir to K Williamson, OUT! End of a brilliant knock from the Kiwi skipper and the 104-run stand comes to an end! Tahir bowls a tossed up delivery in line of the stumps, Williamson kneels and looks to slog sweep it but ends up miscuing it towards long on. Phehlukwayo who is stationed in the deep runs in front and pouches it safely. South Africa will be happy to see the back of Williamson. It's a timely breakthrough for the visitors, Kane was looking dangerous out there.

32.4
D Pretorius to N Broom, OUT! Soft dismissal! Shorter outside off, Broom goes for the cut shot but fails to keep it down. JP Duminy at point has nothing to worry about as he pouches a simple catch. New Zealand need to ensure there is no collapse here.

Hashim Amlalbw b Tim Southee 10 13 2 0 76.92
4.5
Tim Southee to H Amla, OUT! Southee strikes with a beauty! His seam presentation was spot on and he gets rewarded for it. Hurls in a fullish length delivery on middle and leg and gets it to curve away appreciably. Amla plays all around it and misses it completely to get hit flush on the back pad. A straightforward decision for the umpire and the Kiwis come together with big smiles on their faces. That's a big, big wicket!
Quinton de Kock (W)c Jimmy Neesham b Trent Boult 57 65 6 0 87.69
24.4
T Boult to de Kock, OUT! Boult does the trick! On a length on off, Quinton de Kock gets under it and goes over mid-wicket. The ball flies straight into the hands of the fielder, Jimmy Neesham in the deep, who pouches it safely. De Kock will rue not making the chance count. A big wicket for New Zealand, can they force a collapse from here on? South Africa need 166 more in 152 balls.
Faf du Plessisb Colin de Grandhomme 11 17 2 0 64.71
10.5
de Grandhomme to du Plessis, OUT! Bowled 'em! De Grandhomme sends du Plessis packing with an absolute ripper! Hurls it on a fuller length on off, Faf strides forward to drive it through the covers but is completely foxed by the inward movement. Misses it completely and the ball swings back sharply to rattle his stumps. South Africa need 239 from 235 balls.
JP Duminyst Tom Latham b Mitchell Santner 34 44 3 0 77.27
21.5
M Santner to JP Duminy, OUT! Duminy throws it away! Floats it on the stumps, Duminy comes down to have a whack at it but plays all over it and is beaten comprehensively. Latham goes to his right and collects the ball. He is quick to whip the bails off and that should be it for Duminy. A timely wicket for New Zealand. Can they come back from here? South Africa need 184 more runs in 173 balls.
AB de Villiers (C)c Tom Latham b Trent Boult 45 49 2 0 91.84
38.3
T Boult to de Villiers, OUT! The big fish departs! That's a huge blow to the Proteas! Good thinking by Boult to keep on testing de Villiers with short deliveries and it pays off. Bangs in a short ball outside off, AB goes for a full blooded pull shot but gets a bottom edge and the ball flies towards Latham. He crouches and takes a good low catch. New Zealand now surely hold the upper hand now. South Africa still need 91 from 69 balls.
David Millerc Tom Latham b Ish Sodhi 28 39 3 0 71.79
36.4
Ish Sodhi to D Miller, OUT! The threatening 68-run stand comes to an end. A very crucial wicket for the Proteas this as Miller can run away with the game. Sodhi slips in the wrong 'un at a flatter trajectory on off. Miller camps back and looks to guide it with an angled blade but is late to read it. Ends up getting an outside edge and Latham behind the stumps takes a sharp catch.
Dwaine Pretoriusb Trent Boult 50 27 4 2 185.19
48.6
T Boult to D Pretorius, OUT! Boult strikes when needed the most! That ends a tremendous knock of Pretorius under pressure. Trent steams in and bowls a full toss on leg stump. Pretorius backs away and comes down the track to hit it over covers but misses it completely as the ball thuds into the stumps. South Africa have lost a very untimely wicket. They need 15 runs to win off the last over with a sole wicket in hand.
Chris Morrisrun out (Dean Brownlie) 7 8 1 0 87.5
40.6
T Boult to D Pretorius, OUT! Luck parts way with Chris Morris! Good length delivery in line of the stumps, Pretorius closes his bat face early as he looks to tuck it across but gets a leading edge towards short cover. Morris anticipating that the ball would go through the vacant square leg region was backing up too much and unfortunately the ball lands in front of Dean Brownlie. He picks it up quickly and hurls in a backhand flick to score a direct hit at the bowler's end. South Africa are falling apart now. The Kiwis need 3 wickets for a victory.
Wayne Parnelllbw b Mitchell Santner 0 4 0 0 0
41.4
M Santner to W Parnell, OUT! Plumb! Flatter in length on off, Parnell looks to defend but is too late to pick the change of pace and is rapped on the pads. The players appeal long and hard. Umpire gives it in favour of the bowler. Parnell ponders over the review but decides against it, as it did look plumb.
