Niroshan Dickwella (W)c Quinton de Kock b JP Duminy 34 35 6 0 97.14
11.3
JP Duminy to N Dickwella, OUT! What an anti-climatic end to Niroshan Dickwella's stay in the middle. The Sri Lankan openers were motoring along quite well, but the 61-run stand has come to an end. Slower through the air and fuller on off, Dickwella leans forward and across to play the paddle sweep but gets it off the top edge. It pops up as he played it too early and de Kock takes the simplest of catches in the vacant short leg area.
Upul Tharangab Willem Mulder 36 41 4 1 87.8
14.3
W Mulder to U Tharanga, OUT! What a delivery from Mulder. Superb. This surface wasn't supposed to have anything in it for the pacers but the rain has completely changed the game. The ball is doing all sorts of things now. Length delivery angling in from round the wicket, Tharanga looks to play at it but misses it completely as the ball rattles the stumps, after going through the gate. Sri Lanka lose their 2nd wicket.
Kusal Mendislbw b Keshav Maharaj 14 13 0 1 107.69
15.5
K Maharaj to K Mendis, OUT! And gone! Maharaj strikes in his very first over. Keeps it full and straight, in line of the stumps, Mendis is down on his rear knee to sweep it away but misses it altogether. Caught flush in front of pads and the appeal goes up. The umpire's finger follows not too long after and Mendis has to walk back. Sri Lanka in a slight spot of bother here.
Kusal Pererac David Miller b JP Duminy 51 32 6 2 159.38
27.2
JP Duminy to K Perera, OUT! Kusal Perera has been dismissed at a crucial time for the Lankans. Needed to stay out there, at least a little longer, if not till the end. He skips down the track and lofts it over wide mid on. Doesn't have enough power on it as David Miller runs to his left from long on and slides to take a safe catch.
Angelo Mathews (C)c Quinton de Kock b Lungi Ngidi 22 23 2 1 95.65
22.3
L Ngidi to A Mathews, OUT! The big one is down. Lungi Ngidi picks up a vital wicket for his skipper and his team. Back of a length outside off, Mathews goes for the expansive drive on the up, gets a thick outside edge and de Kock does well to take a Superman-like catch diving to his right. This is the 2nd time in 3 ODIs that Mathews has fallen prey to Ngidi.
Dhananjaya de Silvac Junior Dala b Lungi Ngidi 10 10 2 0 100
24.6
L Ngidi to de Silva, OUT! Loose shot by de Silva as he half-heartedly drives a full length ball in the air, way outside off and the elevation takes the ball all the way to the man at sweeper cover boundary. Sri Lanka now have half the side back in the hut as the man in-form departs cheaply.
Thisara Pereranot out 51 45 3 2 113.33
Dasun Shanakac Willem Mulder b Andile Phehlukwayo 65 34 4 5 191.18
38.3
A Phehlukwayo to D Shanaka, OUT! Taken! Shanaka departs after a scintillating knock. Fuller ball on the off stump, he looks to go over the off side but can't get underneath the ball cleanly. Hits it straight to Mulder at cover-point. He departs, but not before playing a blinder. Partnership of 109 comes to a close.

Quinton de Kock (C) (W)b Suranga Lakmal 23 13 3 1 176.92

S Lakmal to de Kock, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Lakmal has the last laugh. He gets a wicket on a full toss. He dishes out a high one. De Kock clears his front leg and tries to hit it through the off side but misses it completely and the ball hits the off pole. De Kock stands there in disbelief and then has a look at the umpire as he feels it is a no ball but the umpire has his hands down and de Kock has to walk back cheaply in his first outing as captain. A much-needed wicket for Sri Lanka. Can they now build on this?
Hashim Amlac Lahiru Kumara b Akila Dananjaya 40 23 6 0 173.91
9.3
A Dananjaya to H Amla, OUT! Taken! Sri Lanka manage to get the breakthrough. Full and wide outside off, Amla looks to go hard at that, over the off side, but ends up slicing it. The result is a thick outside edge, not going where he intended to, but towards backward point instead where Lahiru Kumara does not drop it.Hashim falls 10 short of a half century but just get the feeling that this 57-run stand might have sealed the deal for the tourists.
Reeza Hendricksc Dhananjaya de Silva b Dasun Shanaka 2 3 0 0 66.67
4.4
D Shanaka to R Hendricks, OUT, DROPPED, CAUGHT! Taken on the rebound and the centurion in the last game departs cheaply in this one. Not the best of wicket-taking deliveries but Shanaka will not complain. A half volley outside off, Hendricks looks to drive this uppishly, over cover. However, he is unable to clear Dhananjaya de Silva at short extra cover who first stops the flow of the ball with his hand, then luckily for himself, sees the ball go up off his palms. Calmly takes it in the second attempt. Sri Lanka are jubilant. They need to keep picking up wickets. As far as Hendricks is concerned, well, that proverb goes for him - 'Everyday is not Sunday'... ahem...
JP Duminyrun out (Dasun Shanaka) 38 23 3 2 165.22
12.6
de Silva to JP Duminy, OUT! RUN OUT! Second wicket in the over and this is the only way Sri Lanka could have got Duminy tonight. Brilliant by Shanaka, can he do anything wrong in this game? Once again this was bowled flatter on off, JP punches it towards covers and sets off for a run. Shanaka gets to the ball quickly, picks it up, he has one stump to aim at and he hits bull's eye. Duminy continues running towards the dressing room as he knows he is well short. Sri Lanka start celebrating and the crowd here are ecstatic. Game on.
Heinrich Klaasenc Angelo Mathews b Dhananjaya de Silva 17 13 2 0 130.77
12.2
de Silva to H Klaasen, OUT! So Klaasen who was desperately trying to get out, perishes courtesy an excellent catch by Mathews. De Silva gets his first. He fires it on the stumps, Klaasen makes room and once again tries to go over covers. He does not get the elevation though and it goes quickly to the left of Mathews. He moves swiftly and takes a tumbling catch. Throws the ball in the air in joy and Sri Lanka can still believe. 62 more needed.
David Millerb Suranga Lakmal 21 17 0 1 123.53
20.2
S Lakmal to D Miller, OUT! KABOOM! Miller is out of here and is that the game for Sri Lanka? Well they are surely favorites now. Lakmal, the experienced campaigner delivers. He bowls the slower delivery on a back of a length around off, Miller goes for the pull but gets an inside edge onto his stumps. The crowd erupts. Lakmal is all pumped up, Mathews is all pumped up. Sri Lanka now need one wicket to win. Whereas, South Africa need 8 from 4.
Andile Phehlukwayob Thisara Perera 9 10 2 0 90
15.2
T Perera to A Phehlukwayo, OUT! PLAYED ON! This was on the cards. South Africa are making a meal out of this now. Another cutter by Perera on middle, Phehlukwayo tries to work it on the leg side but gets an inside edge onto his pads and then onto his stumps. His struggle comes to an end. South Africa need another 42 from 34 deliveries.
Willem Mulderc Dhananjaya de Silva b Suranga Lakmal 4 7 1 0 57.14
16.4
S Lakmal to W Mulder, OUT! A screamer by de Silva. Has that effort now tilted the game in Sri Lanka's favour? Well you can say so. Brilliant by him. Lakmal bowls a shorter delivery on middle, Mulder picks the length early and goes for the pull through mid-wicket. He though does not keep it down and Dhananjaya there dives full stretch to his left and takes it. Take a bow. In the first innings, de Kock did something similar to get rid of Mathews.
Keshav Maharajb Thisara Perera 17 14 3 0 121.43
19.6
T Perera to K Maharaj, OUT! TIMBER! But is this wicket a little too late? Well, one would feel so as Maharaj walks back after playing a really good cameo. Thisara bowls it on a length around off, Maharaj swings but misses. The ball hits the top of off. 8 needed from the final over. David Miller on strike.
