K Roach to K Perera, OUT! Finally! Roach finally has his man. He constantly troubled the opener in his first spell and has struck with immediate effect in his second one. Bowling it in the probing off stump channel has paid dividends. Lands the ball on a short of a length, angles it in and extracts extra bounce off the pitch. Perera is caught in the crease as he fends at it and ends up getting it from the splice of the bat behind. The Windies skipper, Jason Holder is safe as a house at third slip and Kemar Roach rejoices his 150th Test wicket. The dangerous looking Perera is walking back. The promising 44-run stand comes to an end. Sri Lanka continue to lose wickets at regular intervals.

S Gabriel to Udawatte, OUT! Gone! Ideal start for the Windies and the players are ecstatic. That channel of uncertainty, I tell you! Keeps it on a back of a length, angling in and straightening after pitching. Udawatte has no option other than getting his bat in line. The ball moves away a touch and kisses the outside edge on the way. The Windies skipper, Jason Holder at third slip takes a nice diving catch to his right. Gabriel has tasted early blood. Disappointment for the debutant, not the way he would have wanted to begin his Test career.
Dhananjaya de Silvab Shannon Gabriel 12 14 2 0 85.71
5.4
S Gabriel to Silva, OUT! Gabriel has another and Sri Lanka lose their second. Fiery stuff from the fast bowler. He goes wide of the crease and bowls it on a back of a length. The ball seams in substantially after landing and catches the batsman by surprise. De Silva tries to cover the line but fails to counter it. The ball hits his right elbow and ricochets onto the stumps. He looks in a lot of pain, holding his arm and the physio comes rushing in to check. Hopefully, it won't be a major injury as he is a very important member of the team. The visitors are in some early trouble.
Kusal Mendisc Shane Dowrich b Jason Holder 45 83 8 0 54.22
34.1
J Holder to Mendis, OUT! Holder strikes and he is absolutely pumped up! Well, another stand which promised but failed to deliver big. The Windies continue to chip away at the wickets and stay on top of the game. Shortish ball down the leg side, there is a bit of extra bounce on offer. Mendis gets deceived due to it and closes his bat face early. As a result, a top edge is induced and the ball skies towards backward square leg. Dowrich lines it up and runs towards it. Judges it nicely and takes it on the move. A decent knock from Mendis comes to an end. Lately, he was looking itchy and has succumbed.
Dinesh Chandimal (C)not out 119 186 10 1 63.98
Roshen Silvac Jason Holder b Shannon Gabriel 6 23 1 0 26.09
43.1
S Gabriel to Silva, OUT! Roshen Silva's struggle continues! The man who was terrific upfront has produced another peach to hand his side another breakthrough. There is enough in the track to keep the bowlers interested and the hosts have bowled with a lot of discipline. Gabriel steams in hard and bowls an effort ball in the corridor of uncertainty. It takes off after pitching and climbs on Silva. He hops but is in an awkward position to counter it. Tries to fend it eventually but the ball takes the splice of the bat and flies towards the slip cordon. Jason Holder at third slip is sharp as a hawk and takes a good catch.
Niroshan Dickwella (W)c Shai Hope b Shannon Gabriel 16 55 1 0 29.09
59.4
S Gabriel to N Dickwella, OUT! This has been the trend of this Sri Lankan innings. Gabriel has another with the same probing delivery. He keeps it around off, on a back of a length and makes the left-hander have a go at it. Dickwella's feet go nowhere as he pokes at the delivery and Shai Hope takes a good forward diving catch at gully. Another one bites the dust.
Akila Dananjayac Shane Dowrich b Kemar Roach 2 10 0 0 20
62.6
K Roach to Dananjaya, OUT! And... Gone! The left-handers are having a nightmare against this fast Windies bowling line up. Keeps it on a back of a length, around off and forces Dananjaya to fend at it, who does exactly that. The bat hangs in the air, the ball kisses the outside edge and Dowrich takes a nice low catch in front of his eyes.
Suranga Lakmallbw b Shannon Gabriel 10 9 2 0 111.11
65.4
Gabriel to Lakmal, OUT! Yes, that is dead and the visitors lose a review! The Sri Lankan tail is in no mood to hang around with their skipper. They are falling like nine pins. Kudos to Gabriel for making their life hard and getting a fifer, his third in Test cricket. Coming to the delivery, it is full and darting in from wide of the crease. The ball skids off the surface and hits Lakmal's pads in front of the sticks. The umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger. The batsman looks at his skipper and after a little chat, goes for the review. The Hawk Eye shows that the ball would have crashed into the middle and leg stump. Chandimal needs to take charge of the situation else he might not have partners to play with.
Kasun Rajithac Shane Dowrich b Kemar Roach 4 33 0 0 12.12
76.4
K Roach to Rajitha, OUT! Roach has his third and Sri Lanka lose their ninth. Full, swinging away and wide of off stump, entices Rajitha to go for an ambitious shot. He goes for a booming drive but only manages a faint outside edge and the keeper does the rest.
Lahiru Kumarac Shai Hope b Kemar Roach 0 6 0 0 0
78.6
K Roach to Kumara, OUT! Roach doesn't make the hosts rue the no ball as he gets the wicket of Kumara. Serves a full ball outside off. The batsman flashes hard but gets a thickish outside edge and the ball flies to gully. An alert Shai Hope positioned there dives forward and completes a very good catch to wrap things up. SRI LANKA HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 253!

24.4
Rajitha to Brathwaite, OUT! Brathwaite wastes a review! Kasun Rajitha, you beauty! This is unplayable. He has been so consistent with his angle, line and length and he gets his reward. Goes wider of the crease once again, bowls it fuller, around off and gets it to straighten from there. Brathwaite has to play at it and all he can manage on that is an edge to the keeper. He got a leading edge off the previous delivery, which was similar to this one. But this time he has no clue and even the best of the best batsman might have not been able to handle it. Rajitha is ecstatic with his first Test wicket and why shouldn't he be! Windies lose one just at the stroke of Lunch.
Devon Smithlbw b Akila Dananjaya 61 176 4 1 34.66
59.1
A Dananjaya to Smith, OUT! Plumb in front! Dananjaya gets his first wicket. This is what Sri Lanka need to do, keep on chipping away at the wickets. The offie tosses this one nicely from around the stumps. It is outside off as Smith leans ahead to defend. However, his foot movement is not that assured and he ends up playing down the wrong line, the in-drift causing the same. As a result, he is struck on the pads and the visitors go up in unison. The umpire obliges as well. Smith doesn't take a review. Even if he did, it wouldn't have mattered as the Hawk Eye shows three reds. He departs after playing a good knock.
Kieran Powellc Kusal Mendis b Lahiru Kumara 27 45 2 1 60
40.6
L Kumara to Powell, OUT! Gone! Kumara has his man. He has been a bit wayward at times but has managed to bowl a peach when required. Changes the angle once again, goes 'round the wicket. He lands it on a fullish length and gets it to seam away from the pitch. Powell pushes at the ball tentatively with his front foot still in the air and weight not going into the shot. He gets a thick outside edge and Kusal Mendis from second slip dives across to his right in front of first slip and takes a very good catch. Excellent stuff from the bowler and equally well-supported by the fielding department. Windies lose their second wicket and the dangerous looking 56-run partnership has been broken. The hosts trail by 138 runs.
Shai Hopec Dhananjaya de Silva b Suranga Lakmal 19 41 2 0 46.34
54.3
S Lakmal to S Hope, OUT! Lakmal delivers straightaway! Much-needed wicket for the visitors and they are ecstatic. He steams in and bowls a shortish ball on off. The line is such that Shai Hope has to play at it. He does play at it but is in an uncomfortable position. An outside edge is induced. Dhananjaya de Silva at first slip is cool as a cucumber and pouches it safely. The hosts are still 104 runs behind.
Roston Chasec Suranga Lakmal b Lahiru Kumara 41 68 5 0 60.29
80.4
L Kumara to Chase, OUT! Now, now, now! The brand new cherry has done the trick. The 78-run partnership is broken. Windies lose a wicket at the stroke of Lunch. Lapse in concentration perhaps? Whatever is was, it has worked in the visitors' favor. Coming to the delivery, Lahiru puts it on a fullish length on middle and leg. The ball seams after pitching and Chase goes through with a full-blooded flick. He gets it from the middle of the bat but can't get it over Lakmal standing at short mid-wicket who takes it safely. The hosts are behind by only 12 runs.
Shane Dowrich (W)c Niroshan Dickwella b Suranga Lakmal 55 98 5 1 56.12
86.3
S Lakmal to Dowrich, OUT! Gone! Big fish has been hooked in! Lakmal kept probing outside off on a good length and finally got his reward. Dowrich has to play at the delivery as it is coming in with the angle but it moves away at the last moment. A feather edge results and a simple catch to the keeper. Windies lose their sixth and Sri Lanka are into the tail now. A gutsy knock from the wicket-keeper batsman nonetheless.
Jason Holder (C)c Niroshan Dickwella b Kasun Rajitha 15 35 1 0 42.86
93.3
K Rajitha to Holder, OUT! BOOM! Another one bites the dust. This time, it is the Windies skipper. Rajitha has been persistent with the back of a length delivery outside off. Dishes another one for the batsman and he goes after it. The hanging bat of Holder manages to kiss the ball through to Dickwella behind the stumps.
Devendra Bishooc Kusal Mendis b Kasun Rajitha 2 13 0 0 15.38
89.6
K Rajitha to D Bishoo, OUT! And the gruesome innings of Devendra Bishoo comes to an end. Rajitha lands it on a fuller length outside off and the batsman goes for the drive which isn't there. Gets a thick outside edge and Kusal Mendis at second slip pouches the ball quite easily.
Kemar Roachlbw b Lahiru Kumara 13 21 2 0 61.9

L Kumara to Roach, OUT! Kumara gets his third! He has been fiery and has got the results. He sees Roach shuffling across his stumps and hence, opts to bowl full and fast. The batsman fails to flick it away and is hit on the pads. An appeal follows and up goes the umpire's finger. Roach doesn't go for the review, it looked dead to the naked eye.

L Kumara to Gabriel, OUT! Brilliant catch to end the innings! Shortish ball on off, Gabriel goes for the big pull across the line but gets a top edge that goes over the slip cordon. The keeper and a couple of fielders are running after it. However, de Silva calls for it, keeps his eyes on the balls, takes it really well and then tumbles down. WEST INDIES ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 300!

S Gabriel to Perera, OUT! Got him, gone! Gabriel draws first blood. He wasn't looking that convincing with the ball but has produced a beauty to give his side the breakthrough. He steams in from around the wicket and hits the deck hard on middle. Perera plays for the initial angle but after pitching, the ball seams away late to catch him off guard. An outside edge is induced and Shane Dowrich behind the stumps gets low to his left to take a good catch. Perera's chancy innings has been cut short.
Mahela Udawattec Devendra Bishoo b Kemar Roach 19 46 2 0 41.3
16.2
Roach to Udawatte, OUT! BANG! Another one bites the St Lucian dust. A nothing shot from Udawatte. He was looking good out in the middle but couldn't hang on. Not an ideal start for him in Test cricket. Another full ball from Roach on off stump, pushed in and straightening after pitching. The batsman play an uppish drive but the ball goes straight to Devendra Bishoo at mid off, who takes a jumping catch. Sri Lanka are in some trouble. Meanwhile, the skipper, Dinesh Chandimal walks out to bat.
Kasun Rajithalbw b Shannon Gabriel 0 6 0 0 0

S Gabriel to Rajitha, OUT! Gabriel tastes first blood with just the fourth ball of the day. Lands it on a fuller length and brings it in with the angle. The ball skids after pitching and wraps him on his pads. Rajitha tries to get his bat down but he's late. The Windies go up in appeal and the umpire obliges after a bit of thinking. He bowled it at 145 kph, an effort ball from Gabriel and he has got the desired result.
Dhananjaya de Silvac Devon Smith b Shannon Gabriel 3 15 0 0 20
13.6
S Gabriel to de Silva, OUT! In that probing channel again and the result is the same. Gabriel has his man and Devon Smith who had dropped Chandimal in the first innings doesn't spill it this time and collects it cleanly to his left. Another delivery well outside off, on a driveable length and de Silva tries to push it through the line with minimal feet movement. The ball holds its line and an outside edge is induced. Smith at first slip pouches it safely. Sri Lanka lose their third wicket and trail by 3 runs. Great start to the day for the hosts.
Kusal Mendisb Shannon Gabriel 87 117 8 2 74.36

S Gabriel to Mendis, OUT! Rattled! A very, very important wicket for the home side. Gabriel didn't bowl in the last session and he comes back to provide the breakthrough straightaway. From wide of the crease, he angles the ball into to the right-hander, on a good length and it seams in after pitching. Mendis gets his bat down at an angle and also plays away from his body which proves to be his undoing. Ends up chopping it onto his stumps. The umpire checks upstairs regarding Gabriel has overstepped or not. On one occasion he had done so at a crucial stage but this time he is on the money. Kusal is shattered. He was playing really well but now he has to go. The visitors are ahead by 152 runs.
Dinesh Chandimal (C)c Shane Dowrich b Kemar Roach 39 112 1 0 34.82
47.4
K Roach to Chandimal, OUT! You bet! This is a massive, massive wicket for the Windies! They are over the moon. They had missed a trick when they didn't review a caught behind appeal against Mendis but this time they have got it right. Coming back to the delivery, it is on a shortish length outside off which tempts Chandimal to go for an audacious shot. He does oblige and tries to cut it square of the wicket on the off side but the ball doesn't bounce as much he expected. Hence, the ball seems to have gone just under his bat and carries to Dowrich who takes it and appeals confidently. The rest of the team is in sync with him as well. Holder does challenge the decision. The replays roll in. Oh yes! The Ultra Edge shows a big spike as the ball goes past his bat. There is enough evidence to overturn the decision. OUT flashes on the giant screen. After riding his luck on a few occasions, the Sri Lankan skipper is walking back in disappointment. The 117-run stand has been broken. Sri Lanka are ahead by 118 runs with only 5 wickets in the kitty.
Roshen Silvac Shane Dowrich b Shannon Gabriel 48 115 2 0 41.74
81.1
S Gabriel to Silva, OUT! It is off the gloves! What an outstanding catch. Take a bow, Shane Dowrich. Consecutive 5-wicket hauls in this match for Shannon Gabriel as well, he has been on fire throughout. The hosts needed this wicket badly and it is the second new ball which has come to their rescue. Gabriel bowls this one in the avenue of apprehension and gets the ball to nip in from a length. Silva comes forward tentatively to counter it but it seems that the ball brushes his gloves and flies behind. Dowrich moves swiftly to his left and leaps like a goalkeeper to grab a stunner with his left hand. The Windies appeal and up goes the umpire's finger. However, Silva has a confused look on his face. He is indicating to Dickwella that it might have touched his elbow. Takes the review after some deliberation. The Snicko rolls in and it spots a deflection off the glove. The on-field decision stays. That is the end of a good innings from Roshen Silva, he misses out on his fifty by a couple of runs. That also closes the 99-run stand, a stand which has put Sri Lanka in the ascendancy. The tourists lead by 251 runs.
Niroshan Dickwella (W)c Kieran Powell b Shannon Gabriel 62 70 7 0 88.57
83.1
S Gabriel to Dickwella, OUT! 6-fer for Gabriel! He continues to rule the roost at home. A tame dismissal to say the least! Can't blame it though as this is the way he plays. Gabriel runs in from around the wicket and attacks the stumps with a full length delivery. Dickwella makes room and tries to play it over covers but doesn't get any sort of timing behind it. The ball flies towards extra cover where Kieran Powell accepts it gleefully. An entertaining knock from Dickwella nonetheless. He gets a round of applause from his teammates.
Akila Dananjayab Shannon Gabriel 23 30 2 0 76.67
91.4
S Gabriel to Dananjaya, OUT! BOOM! He is walking back now for sure. Gabriel looks unfazed by the wicket or still unhappy with the no ball two balls back. Whatever it was, he put it in his bowling. He has taken a 8-fer and has also reached 100 Test wickets, something which will please him a lot. Coming back to the ball, he bangs this one short, hits the deck hard and angles it into the body of the batsman. The variable bounce in the pitch means that the ball keeps low this time. Akila looks to duck under it but gets hits on his hanging bat and the ball crashes into the stumps. It's the end of the Sri Lankan innings and the Windies need 296 runs to win this Test match.
Suranga Lakmallbw b Shannon Gabriel 7 22 0 0 31.82
89.5
Gabriel to Lakmal, OUT! Yes, he's gone! Lakmal is right in front of the stumps and the umpire has no hesitation in raising the finger. Gabriel has his 7th of the innings and 12th in the match. He goes fuller and angles it into the right-hander. Lakmal plays down the wrong line off the back foot and is hit on his pads. It looks dead to the naked eye but Suranga goes for a review in desperation, after some discussions with his non-striker. The Ultra Edge doesn't spot anything. Time for the Hawk Eye. It shows that the ball would have hit the top of the leg stump and he has to go. Nice early breakthrough for Windies, just what the doctor ordered! Gabriel has produced the best-ever bowling figures in a match by a Windies bowler at home. He has beaten Sir Curtly Ambrose, who had 11 wickets.

K Rajitha to Smith, OUT! Bang! First one down. The same tactic from Rajitha which he used in the first innings. And it bores fruit for him once again. He goes wide of the crease and puts it on a full length outside off. Smith goes at it half-heartedly and gets a thick outside edge. De Silva at third slip takes a nice low catch to his right. K Rajitha to Powell, OUT! Rajitha, you beauty! What a star he's turning out to be for Sri Lanka. Two wickets in a space of three deliveries to give his side a dream start. Dishes out a similar delivery, on a fullish length, swinging in from the off stump, into Powell and makes him play. The timing is really good on the flick shot but the placement is not. The ball goes straight into the hands of Mahela Udawatte at square leg who is standing a bit up from his normal position and he pouches it safely. Nice attacking captaincy from Chandimal. The visitors are running the show here in St Lucia.

S Lakmal to Hope, OUT! Reload and... Bang! The stumps are shattered. This match is far from over. Lakmal has that cheeky smile on his face once again. He has done the trick right after the Tea break. Lands it on a fuller length and the ball once again nips back in sharply. Hope misses the line while trying to defend it. The ball kisses his gloves, hits below his elbow and then deflects onto the stumps. A huge wicket in the context of the game. Half the Windies side is back in the hut now.

S Lakmal to R Chase, OUT! BOOM! What. A. Beauty! This is a proper set up from Suranga Lakmal. He brought the third slip forward, bowled a short of a length delivery and made the batsman stay back in his crease. Then he smartly bowls a fullish delivery around off and it nips back in after pitching. Chase doesn't come forward as he is waiting for a short one probably. The ball gets through the gap between the bat and pad, flicks his back pad and uproots the off pole from the ground. An absolute screamer. Lakmal has a cheeky smile and the entire Sri Lankan team is screaming in joy! A big wicket, just minutes before Lunch.

A Dananjaya to S Dowrich, OUT! This is a big, big wicket for Sri Lanka! Dowrich who played so well in the first innings fails to stand up for his team on this occasion. Dananjaya has taken off in celebration and his teammates barge towards him. He is looking in good rhythm and has struck at a crucial moment. Coming back to the ball, it is tossed up on off. Dowrich leans ahead a touch and plays for the turn but this one skids off after pitching. Hence, he gets an outside edge and the ball flies towards Dhananjaya de Silva at first slip. He is safe as a house and takes a fine catch. The visitors are 6 wickets shy of a victory.
