Jeremy Coney, born June 21, 1952, was a well-built all-rounder with a short-lived but highly successful stint as New Zealand skipper. Coney played multiple roles on the field for 13 years, for which he was awarded the MBE. Away from the cricket field, Coney was a musician and a teacher who went on to become a quirky expert of the game. Prakash Govindasreenivasan has more.
