England skipper Alastair Cook feels positive after their 57-run win over Australia in the fourth One-Day Internationals (ODIs). Cook said that he was relieved at England gaining their first win on the tour and also praised Ben Stokes for putting up a great show with both bat and ball which was crucial in his side’s victory.
Cook also maintained that England were constantly putting in work to improve their game and the results will start pouring in. Cook said that the bowlers were the key to England’s win and they did a good job in defending the 316-run total that was put forth by the batsmen. Cook concluded that he was being honest in his role as England skipper and also hoped that he retained his captaincy to lead his side in the forthcoming ICC World Cup 2015 in Australia and New Zealand.
