Australia wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade helped Australia to take 48 runslead of against Sri Lanka at stumps on Day Two of the third and final Test at Sydney.

Australia were 342 for the loss of six wickets at sumps on Day Two.

Wade was unbeaten on 47 with Peter Siddle on 16.

Veteran Michael Hussey, who is playing his farewell Test, was run out by Dimuth Karunaratne on 25. Skipper Michael Clarke fell after scoring his half-century, when he was dismissed by Rangana Herath and caught by Karunaratne.
