Australian coach and former batsman Darren Lehmann visited his son, Ethan’s school to launch the Cricket Smart learning tool for primary students. The tool, which is designed to mix everyday subjects such as Maths, Science, History, etc. with Cricket.
Cricketers such as Michael Clarke, Nathan Lyon, James Pattinson and James Faulkner will be a part of the training program which is intended to be a great platform for nurturing talent at a very early age. “Well its exciting. The kids are excited and I would have loved to experience it as a student myself. I would’ve stayed back at school for longer for a start,” said the former southpaw. “You can do Maths, Science and History to do with cricket which is really cool,” said son Ethan.
Darren Lehmann represented Australia in 27 Tests and 117 One Day Internationals (ODI) between 1998 and 2005. He replaced Mickey Arthur as the coach of the Australian Cricket Team in 2013.
