Australia‘s bowling coach Craig McDermott praised his bowlers after they bundled out South Africa for 287 in the host’s first innings to give his side the upper hand in the third Test match at Cape Town.
McDermott lauded his bowlers for using reverse swing to good effect and hoped that the Australians would now put up a big total for South Africa to chase and pressurise them in the second innings too.
McDermott said that though the Australians’ initial strategy was to keep it straight on to the stumps later they experimented with deliveries to keep the South African’s guessing.
McDermott concluded by saying that Ryan Harris was the pick of the Australian bowlers thanks to his impressive line and length throughout the match and also hoped that the fast-bowler will do the same in the second innings against the home side.
