Australian batsman David Warner spoke of his tremendous fielding effort to run out Ian Bell during a One-Day International (ODI) between Australia and England at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in 2013. Warner is known for his hard-hitting batsmanship, but is also renowned for his athletic fielding.
Bell had played the ball to point, where had been minorly deflected by the fielder. Running in from the deep, Warner grabbed the ball and threw it in one swift motion, where it then proceeded to knock the stumps down. Bell was caught short of his crease despite a late dive, and Australia celebrated a piece of outstanding fielding on Warner’s part.
