England‘s Under-19 coach Tim Boon said that his side should not be disappointed at their failure to win the ICC U-19 World Cup 2014 and instead should feel proud of their third-place finish.

Boon said that England had a team full of highly skilled players and that they had done well in the tournament prior to their semi-final loss to Pakistan.

Boon maintained that the win against Australia in the third-place play-off match only reflected the character that his side had and said that they can use it in the future tours and matches to follow.

Boon hailed Ben Duckett as England’s player of the tournament and said that the batsman had improved a lot during the course of the tournament and had also improved his technique by using his feet well at the crease.
