Earlier, England women cruised to a nine wicket victory against South Africa women in the first Twenty20 match at Chelmsford. Charlotte Edwards top scored with 62 runs under her belt. She hit 10 boundaries during her innings. She briskly reached a score of 62 in just 54 balls. South Africa women set them a target of 89 runs. This target was easily achieved by England women, courtesy, a brilliant innings from the England women skipper Edwards. They completed the chase in just 14 overs.
