India’s discard and Delhi captain Gautam Gambhir has backed his opening partner and swashbuckling batsman Virender Sehwag to come good. He said that no one can enforce someone to retire from the game and finally it is an individual’s decision. He also urged Sehwag to continue playing.
In recent times, there have rumours that Sehwag will retire from cricket after a string of poor scores for Delhi in Ranji Trophy this season which has meant that his chances of coming back to the Indian setup is slim. He last played for India against Australia in the second Test match at Hyderabad in 2013.
