Australian batsman Phil Hughes became the first Aussie to score a double ton in a List A game when he smashed 202 not out against South Africa A in the Quadrangular A team One=Day International tournament. Hughes hit 202 in 151 deliveries with 18 fours and six sixes.

 

Hughes thus becomes the first Australian to hit a double in a List A match and is the 15th overall to achieve the milestone. The innings helped Australia A put up 349 in their 50 overs. The second highest score was 90 by Moises Henriques.

 

Australia A posted a mammoth 349 for four. In response South Africa A were bundled out for 201 thereby giving the Aussies a 148-run win.
