Ian Bell spoke about England’s chances ahead of the first One-Day Inernational (ODI) against Sri Lanka. The right-handed batsman said that England are ready for the ODIs against their Lankan hosts, and that he expected his team to do well. England have not had a very good ODI record in recent times, losing two home ODI series in a row to Sri Lanka and India earlier in 2014. Bell himself has been in reasonably good form for England, and is currently their second highest run-scorer in ODIs behind Paul Collingwood. England will play seven ODIs against Sri Lanka before heading to Australia early next year to join India and the hosts in a Triangular series ahead of the ICC World Cup 2015.
