Australian skipper George Bailey was a disappointed man after his team lost to the West Indies in a crucial Group 2 encounter of ICC World T20 by 6 wickets.

The loss has now seriously damaged Australia’s chances of making the semi-finals and now Bailey and co will have to win their remaining two matches and also hope that results elsewhere should go their way.

Darren Sammy‘s late blitz and Chris Gayle‘s half-century helped the West Indies trump Australia by six wickets in their ICC World T20 2014 match at Dhaka on Friday. Chasing a daunting target of 179 to win, the Caribbean side achieved it with two balls to spare and with six wickets in hand.

Sammy remained unbeaten on 34. He smashed 19 runs off Mitchell Starc in the penultimate over of the game helping West Indies snatch a win from Australia’s hands. The captain hit consecutive sixes off James Faulkner in the last over to seal an exciting game for his side.
