India A captain Manoj Tiwary said that his side expected the ‘short stuff’ from Australia A bowlers in the first unofficial Test at Allan Border Field in Brisbane. India A are on 304 for six in the four-day match at stumps on Day One. Manoj scored 83 and Naman Ojha is still batting on 82. Jiwanjot Singh scored 56.

Manoj said that pitch was good for batting and that some batsmen missed out on big scores. The likes of Robin Uthappa (23), KL Rahul (15), Ambati Rayudu (0) and Karun Nair (26) were unable to get good scores. The Australia A bowlers Ben Cutting, Moises Henriques, Mitchell Marsh and Chadd Sayers bowled more short deliveries.
