India‘s batting coach, Sanjay Bangar, shared his thoughts after Day Three’s play between India and Bangladesh in the ongoing one-off Test at Hyderabad. Bangar was in support of India’s pacers even though they were made to toil hard for wickets in day’s play. He advised the Indian pacers to remain patient and apply the brakes on Bangladesh’s scoring on Day Four. He was supportive of Umesh Yadav and even praised the lanky pacer for his impressive spell early in the day. India lead Bangladesh by 365 runs at stumps on Day Three and will hope for folding the visitors’ innings early on Day Four and set a huge target for them in the penultimate day.

Bangar even credited Bangladesh’s batsmen, in particular Shakib Al Hasan, Mehedi Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim for their performance with the bat. Shakib and Rahim added 107 for the fifth wicket whereas Mehedi and Rahim have added 87 runs together at the crease and are still unbeaten. He lauded their efforts which prevented Indians from taking regular scalps and running away with the match.
