Stuart Broad credited the whole bowling unit for firing collectively as England grabbed seven wickets to put India on the threshold of follow-on at stumps on Day Three of the third Test at Southampton.

 

“Fantastic day for us. But it is still a really good wicket for batting. Hopefully at the end of Day Four, Day Five it will be deteriorate nicely. Credit to the whole bowling unit for the place we are in today,” Broad said.

 

Broad and James Anderson became only the third pace pair to take a combined 500 Test wickets. Broad finished the third day three for 65 and Anderson took three for 52. “To go into the company of Wasim and Waqar, and Courtney and Curtly is a huge honour. They were four heroes of mine growing up,” said Broad after stumps.
