IPL 2013: Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma and Dhawal Kulkarni in candid conversation
A video of Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma and Dhawal Kulkarni in a candid conversation in a flight during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 tournament.
After their seven-wicket loss to the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rohit praised the opposition bowlers for producing an inspired show in the 43rd match of the tournament.
"Probably we were 10-15 runs short. You have to give credit to Sunrisers bowlers. They bowled well, stuck to their plan. Sometimes it doesn't come off. It was one of those days where our batting didn't click," Rohit was quoted as saying by IANS.
"Last nine games we scored more than 70 runs in last five overs but today was one of those days when things didn't go our way," Sharma said.
He said he didn't believe in home conditions. "There is advantage of playing at home because you know conditions better but I feel whoever plays better cricket on a given day wins the game. I thought they played better cricket than us so they won the game."
Sharma said they discussed at length about the wicket as the average score here was 130-135. "We could have done little better with the ball also. But you can't expect bowlers to defend such a small target," he said.
