IPL 2014 could split into two parts
The Indian Premier League (IPL), 2014 is coming soon. There is a possibility that the tournament could be split into two parts. The BCCI is thinking about this move as there can be a chance that the Indian general elections may come in the way.
PTI reported: Virender Sehwag’s string of poor scores in domestic cricket is likely to affect his chances of bagging a lucrative deal in the Indian Premier League VII as it looks highly unlikely that he would be retained by his current franchise Delhi Daredevils.
The eight existing franchises need to submit their ‘Player Retention List’ by January 10.
However talented left-handers — South Africa’s Quinton de Kock along with latest batting sensation from New Zealand Corey Anderson are two players who are likely to fetch a substancial amount during the next month’s IPL auction.
