Cricket Australia Chief Executive James Sutherland said that there will be no Test match played at the Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) ground at Perth. Sutherland said with the world cup around in 2015, a couple of state associations had to miss out from the list as Test match venues — WACA was one of them.
WACA chief executive Christina Matthews was disappointed with the decision not to give them a Test match.
Sutherland denied that this will be the last WACA Test. Currently WACA is undergoing some improvements in order for it to be ready before the ICC World Cup 2015.
