Australian Sheffield Shield final’s man of the match Moises Henriques, who guided New South Wales to win in domestic first-class trophy, has been part of four different Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises. In the last IPL auction, Henriques was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Speaking about being his experience with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Henriques said, “I am really enjoying being here. It is very relaxed. I am having a good time and I am looking forward to the tournament.”

Henriques says he aims to continue his good form which was seen during the Sheffield Shield final, where he scored 140 in the first innings.

He said, “It (IPL) is a competitive form of cricket, but I gotbit of an extended run last year in the IPL. Am really looking forward to the time, spending with Hyderabad. The boys played well last year, so hopefully, with couple of new players added to the team, we can do little bit better again.”

Henriques says at this stage is aiming to play good cricket and do whatever he can on and off field to pay good cricket and not concentrate on playing well to impress national selectors.

“Just want to win the game for the team,” he said.

He also clarified on how to pronounce his name. He said,” It is Moses Henriques, the ‘I’ is silent.”
