Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will be conferred with the highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna on February 4th. Sachin will be the youngest to win this award and will be handed over in a small ceremony by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.
According to a report on the website of India Today, Tendulkar will get the Bharat Ratna on February 4 and the president will be part of the dress rehearsal to be held a day before on February 3. Tendulkar will be felicitated along with Prof. CNR Rao.
The decision to confer the highest civilian honour on Tendulkar was taken just moments after the maestro retired on November 16, 2013. He retired after completing his 200th Test on his homeground Wankhede Stadium.
