Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) of the three match ODI series at Dambulla on Saturday. Dhammika Prasad was picked in the place of Nuwan Kulasekara as the latter was struggling with form. Prasad removed the Paksitani opening batsmen Ahmed Shehzad and Sharjeel Khan in a short span of time. He bowled six overs in his first spell and gave away only 25 runs. Lasith Malinga, on the other hand, looked on song as he bowled a tight line and length right from the onset.
Misbah-ul-Haq, Umar Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood and Shahid Afridi. All of them failed to impress yet again. Thisara Perera has been in sublime form in this series as he picked up nine wickets and scored 138 runs. Misbah-ul-Haq‘s run out was the key moment in this match. There was never a run there. It was a bad call indeed that resulted in gifting his wicket to the Sri Lankans. Upul Tharanga and Dilshan took on the Pakistani bowling attack right from the start.. The bowlers could not hit the right line and length and as a result Dilshan and Tharanga routed them.
