Australian batsman Steven Smith laments about the rainy conditions in Potchefstroom which led to the cancellation of a four-day warm-up game thus robbing his side of valuable playing practice in the process.
Smith also maintained that the Australians were putting in the desired work effort in the practice sessions at Johannesburg and hoped that they fine tune themselves ahead of the first Test against South Africa at Centurion on February 12.
Smith said that the wickets in South Africa were almost similar to the ones back in Australia and hoped that his side put up a big first innings total if put in to bat first at the Centurion.
