Tim Southee said that New Zealand have become more consistent in One-Day Internationals (ODI) over the years, and also reckoned that the team has developed a more attacking and positive mindset.

He said that Corey Anderson was having a spectacular time with the bat so far and hoped that he would continue with his rich vein of form in the matches to come. Southee feels that though, the pitch at Auckland has more carry and bounce. It can shape into a good batting surface, as the match progresses later on. Southee said that Virat Kohli was the key player for India, who is currently in good nick and that New Zealand need to get him out early. He picked out Mohammad Shami as India’s stand out bowler and said that they could not underestimate the Indian bowling.
