Corey Anderson survived a close run out call with AB de Villiers, the South Africa skipper, goofing up a clear chance to get Anderson run-out and effectively bring the match in South Africa’s favour. With that missed chance, the ever present ‘chokers’ tag will ring loud in the captains years. Watch the video here.

Anderson was so far from the crease that initially he didn’t even see the point in coming back to the crease when the ball reached de Villiers. Anderson set of for an improbable run with Grant Elliott tapping Dale Steyn to point. The fielder spotting Anderson out of his crease gave an accurate throw to de Villiers at the non-strikers end.

But de Villiers made a miss of the opportunity. He failed to collect the ball cleanly and knocked the bails off with his hand. He then tried to pluck the stump off and the the ball to it to dismiss Anderson but failed in doing so.
