Chris Gayle, known on a cricket field for his hard-hitting all around the world and his lavish life off it once again was in a jovial mood during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars. Gayle, who plays for the Lahore franchise was dismissed for a first-ball duck in the match by fast bowler Junaid Khan. Tom Moody caught up with Gayle ahead of the match on the sidelines to get his views on the match. At the ed of the interview Gayle said, ” Don’t blush, Tom” and then bust into a laughter. This incident brought back memories of Gayle being interviewed by a Channel 9 reporter Mel Mclaughlin during a Big Bash League (BBL) match, when he had asked her out for a drink in the interview and uttered the words, “Don’t blush, baby”. He was forced to apologise to the reporter, which he did after Cricket Australia (CA) threatened to cancel his BBL contract. McLaughlin accepted Gayle’s apology and the matter was resolved there. Gayle plays in countries like India, Australia and in the Caribean in T20 leagues and is one of the most feared batsmen in the world. He was recently included in the West Indies squad for the ICC World T20 2016. But the players and West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) are in a tussle regarding the contracts. Many players have threatened to pull out, citing that they are paid extremely less. The WICB is however adamant and says that they will send a team to India with second string players, if the squad does not sign on the dotted lines.
