South African middle-order batsman Farhaan Behardien is ready for the upcoming ODI and Test series against India. In this video he says that his relationship with fellow batsman JP Duminy is very personal and he is also happy to have a swashbuckling batsman like him in the side which many a times makes his job easier lower down the order. According to Behardien, India has four-five good spinners in their side and it will be an uphill task for South Africa to combat them. The 31-year-old thinks that its perfectly fine to have three different captains for three different formats as it brings the best ideas out from different people. Also, like different cricketers’ talent is suited for different formats similarly different captains have finesse at leading South Africa in different formats. It’s good to have a different captain’s perspective in the Tests, ODIs and T20Is. Farhaan Behardien: AB de Villiers will continue to open in subcontinent

Berhadien believes South Africa need to be vary of India’s key spinners— Ravichandran Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh. “It’s a very long tour of 70 days and for only one person to captain throughout takes a toll on the person. All the team players will enjoy the fresh perspective brought out by different cricketers.” Behardien is considered a very destructive batsman and has a strike rate of 100 from 31 ODIs that he has played. He is yet to play a Test for South Africa. The right-hander has a decent T20I record too. READ: South Africa reach 204 after Farhaan Behardien’s fighting 70 in 2nd ODI against New Zealand
